"No!"

Delilah looked confused.

" I'm sorry after all the years of being a piece of paper I must have spider eggs in my ears. But did I just hear you say no?" Delilah asked.

"You heard me right! I'm not letting you take me over. I've seen firsthand what happens, Hunter would have died if his palisman hadn't sacrificed himself. No way am I letting you take over my body!

Delilah narrowed her eyes at Luz.

"I'm assuming the spirit you're talking about was cursed?"

"Ya, but what does that have to do with it?"

"Normal possessions, are usually safe to do unless you're cursed then the relationship between the possessed in the possessor becomes more parasitic, and if there ever separated, then the host will die. I am not cursed, so no harm will come to you once I finished my duty."

Luz still didn't look convinced.

"I'm not letting you possess me, I just met you an hour ago and now you expect me to just let you take over my body."

" I'm only asking to be polite."

As Delilah got closer Luz drew fire onto the floor and the two were separated by a wall of fire!

Delilah easily floated through the flame.

"You didn't think that would work did you?"

After Amity and the others left jinn went down to the lower levels of the school. Amity had told him to avoid going down there since that was where the collector was being held.

Jinn told her not to worry and go find Luz.

He walked down the spiral staircase, the only light coming from his Palisman lighting his way down until he reached a tall cylinder at the very bottom of the stairway. He looked closer at the cylinder and saw none other than the collector himself. The child or at least that is what he looked like, a child. Jinn had always pictured the collector to be more imposing, oh well.
He raised Mephistopheles to the glass, it wouldn't do to have a being as powerful as the collector running around unrestrained, a quick memory wipe would do the trick...then again would a memory wipe  Evan work on a being like a collector? He lowered his palisman for a moment before bringing it up again. He had to try, having an impressionable collector on his side would prove a valuable Allie.

Jinn was interrupted from his spell by Boscha coming down
The stairs with a lantern in her hand.

"You Triclops brat, why are you here? I haven't called for you!"

Boscha didn't answer but instead showed a scroll recording of Luz escaping.

"So what?! I already know she escaped."

Boscha pointed out a small gray light showing right before luz escape the dungeon.

"Enhance that image."

Boscha couldn't answer so jinn undid her silence.

"Now enhance that image."

"That's not a real thing, it's just a-"

Jinn grabbed the scroll and pushed her aside. He tried to look closer at the recording and was astounded by what he saw, a wraith. He cast a spell on himself to heighten his eyesight and noticed the wraith more closely, she looked very familiar and as he looked closer he recognized her, Delilah!
