Luz had looked through several old books in the library, nearly every title on magical creatures and medicines she grabbed off the shelf. Her eyes were getting heavy as she turned to the next page.  So far she hadn't found anything close to what was happening to the Palisman and magical creatures. She thought about taking a break and trying to check on string bean but she then decided not to, she didn't wanna get in the way or see Amity mad at her again. She felt her eyelids beginning to feel heavy she would have fallen asleep then and there if not for a night breeze blowing in through a window. As Luz was about to fall asleep a new book fell onto her table and opened on a page titled, healing properties of genies. As she read her eyes opened wide, she had found the answer she was looking for. All she had to do was find a genie and wish to save all the Palisman and the second to save the other magical creatures, and there would be a third wish for herself.

Luz then sat back down, where the heck was she gonna find a genie, as long as she's lived in the boiling isles? She's never actually seen a genie, although she's seen practically everything else. She looked over at the book she had just read and noticed something sticking out of the backside, she picked it up and saw a little piece of paper taped to the back. She carefully undid the tape and gently unfolded the paper, and found a map. It looked as though the map led to a small archipelago not that far from here, the island itself looked vaguely familiar on paper. Anyway, maybe she had seen it from the beach when she was out Trash hunting with  Eda, if that was the case she could just take a small rowboat out and look for the genie there. She carefully put the map in her pocket and then left the library. It was still early in the morning, Luz walked into the gymnasium where most of the Palisman and magical creatures were trying to sleep. She carefully looked around through the mass of cots until she found String-bean out of her staff form. The snake shifter was sleeping uneasily, Luz could hear the labored breathing coming from her palisman. The crack that had formed in her chest looked like it was only getting wider, Willow's salve must not have worked. Luz gently picked up her Palisman and gently placed her in a makeshift sling. She must have been so exhausted.

"Don't worry girl, I'm getting someone who can fix you."

She then looked at all the sick creatures including, King, Vee, Hooty, and all the other Palisman laying on their cots.

"All of you."

Luz was about to leave when she heard a voice.

"Luz, what are you doing up so early?"

Luz looked to the side and saw vee looking up from her cot.

Luz gently walked towards her adopted sister but vee put up a hand to stop her and then pointed down.

Luz noticed Hunter sleeping on the floor right next to vee's bunk.

"He stayed next to me the whole night, Evan when I told him to go sleep with all the other Beast-keeping coven students but he wouldn't leave my side."

Luz smiled then grabbed a pillow and blanket from an unused cot and covered Hunter with it and put the pillow under his head.

"Why are you up, anyway?"

Vee then noticed string-bean in luz's sling and her eyes went wide.

"Why the hell is String bean out of her bed?!"

"Shush, do you wanna wake everyone up?!"

Vee borrowed her eyes and whispered: Why is she out of her bed?"

"I found something in an old book that'll help her, you, and everyone else but I have to go now while everyone is asleep so no one stops me."

"If you think people are gonna try and stop and then you shouldn't do it, how do you know this thing will help us?"
