A living Hell

Chapter 1

Claire's P.O.V

 "Hey Mike." I said sitting right beside him on the old brown couch. "Hey Claire." he said tilting his head back and closing his eyes. "Tired?" I asked him. He just nodded as an answer to my question. The thing I liked about old Mike is anytime I needed to talk I could always come to him and he wouldn't blab.

 "Well I hear Jason has first watch with Shane, Then me and Luke." I huffed. Of course I would always have second watch cause my little sister couldn't go to sleep without me in the bed beside her, holding her right by my side.

"Three hours each?" he asked me. "Yea." I sighed, getting up. "Night Hun." Mike said getting up and walking over to Shane. Apparently the two of them needed to talk real quick before Shane had to take his shift.

 I walked into the kitchen realising everyone was in their, minus Jason,Shane, and Mike. I would say Jason was already upstairs on watch. "Sissy!" Ariel said running over to me giving me a soft smile. "Hey sweetie." I said returning her smile.

 I knew she looked up to Lenna, probably thinking of Lenna as a mother figure. "Hey Hun." Lenna said counting the cans of food we have. We always had someone in charge of counting our food. That was my little sister and Lenna.

 I was more of the kill type. I envied the ones here that could sleep six hours a night. Of course Gage would step in sometimes in place of one of us. I really thought of everyone here as family. Of course Ariel was my sister. 

 "No." Gage cried. I looked over at Gage to see him and his Brother Luke playing some card game. "Fair and square." Luke smirked at his younger brother. "Mom! He cheated." Gage said slamming his cards on the table.

 "What's wrong Gage?" Mike asked walking in raising his eyebrows at the two of his grandsons. "He cheated!" Gage said pointing to Luke who just smirked at his brother. "How old are you?" Lenna asked Gage. "Mom..I'm thirteen!But he still cheated." He said pointing his finger at Luke.

 Ariel laughed at Gage, which made Gage blush. We all knew that Ariel was sweet on Gage and Gage was sweet on her. "Alright. That's enough Gage let's all get some shut eye." Lenna said putting the cans up.

 "But.." Ariel and Gage said in unison. "Come on silly man." Luke said throwing Gage over his muscular shoulder. "Night boys." Lenna and Mike said to them. "Night." Luke said smiling at me as he walked past me.

 "Night!" Me and Ariel said heading up the stairs right behind the boys. "Night Luke,Gage." I said as they reached there door. "See you in a few." Luke said as he went into there room and shut the door. "Let's get to bed stinker pot." I said to my sister pulling her in the room behind me, I shut the door behind us.

 "Wake up Claire." said Luke shaking me awake. I groaned it felt like I just went to sleep little over an hour ago. "I'm up." I groaned quickly pulling on my button up shirt. "Hand me my gun?" I asked yawning. "Sure." he chuckled handing me my small hand gun.

 I made sure my sister was safe in bed with her pink gun on the nightstand beside her. I shut the door behind me and Luke as we made our way over to the sliding glass doors that led to a balcony that went all the way around the house.

 "Here." Luke said handing me a cup of water, as he shut the doors and we sat down on two plastic lawn chairs with a shotgun in between the two chairs. A pair of binoculars layed beside it on the concrete floor. 

 "I miss Coffee." Luke said sighing. "Me too buddy, me too." I said sighing. I always hated being outside of a night. I knew walkers could attack you in the day, but the night made them way more scarier then of a day.
