"Kay," a voice said next to me. "Get in the car."
"No." I continue to walk, my feet are starting to ache from the heels.
"I know what I did was wrong, but you mean more to me, Lauren's a hoe, she came onto me, she likes me, you know?" He spoke in his New York and some gibberish, it didn't work.
"You should've known not to do that," I told him. "You seemed pretty content holding her next to you until I showed up."
"You're the one I really love."
I didn't speak.
"Come on Kay, let me make it up to you, I can give you a ride home, I can tell those heels have been aching you. You look like a damsel in distress out here." Shit.
I was crossing a crosswalk before he pulled his car in front of where I was walking. "Get in the car, Kay."
Annoyed, I got in the car. His car over the years smells worse and worse of beer. "That's my baby." He said.
"Don't call me baby."
He took his hands off the wheel and put them up like he's innocent. "I know I did some shit wrong, just forgive me, it's killing me."
Over the past couple minutes of him driving I stared out my window, watching the cars near us, we were going pretty fast, and so were the other fast, but not as fast. And I didn't even know where we were.
"Jay-" I went to look over and he had his mouth less than an inch away from mine. I could smell his breath without even sniffing. "Have you been drinking?"
"Of course I have, we were at prom." He said giving a dumb founded like before trying to kiss me, his breath smelled like poison.
"You're driving!" I yelled at him. His driving was getting hazier and hazier and cars were honking at his carelessness
"I could pull over." He gave me a smirk and looked into my eyes.
Before I knew it my life flashed before my eyes. My mom, my dad, Liam, my friends, my dog, the mysteries in my room, everything.
I thought my life was over.
