Another day done, Li always says as he comes through the door when he gets back from school. He has always been so kind, and comes over all the time, comforts me when I get sick... I worry I'm not the same as I was before, and it makes him sad.
Today it was 4:00 and he usually comes around 3:00. Maybe he got caught up in something, or he had to much homework, or he's tired. But he always says hello before doing that stuff. Maybe he doesn't like me anymore, because I'm different.
The word 'different' sends shivers down my spine. I want to be the same person, remember the same feelings I once had. What if I was so happy I could've cared less about anything? What if I was so stressed out, I caused myself into this illness? No one told me the situation of how this happened. Maybe I'll ask LeeLee... Wait. He doesn't like me anymore.
I stop gazing out my window towards the sun and slump back in my chair in my room. The walls seem to get smaller and smaller every day.
I get out of the chair and stretch my legs and I notice some papers sticking out from my bed. I pick some up and notice they're letters. I pick a random one from my hand and drop the others and open the one. They all smell deeply of some cologne. These were love letters... To me?
I try to read the fast cursive until my door swings open. I drop to the floor with the letters (mostly because I got scared) and shove them under my bed.
"Kay... Are you okay?" My dad asks.
A sensation cools my body. "Yes father, you just scared me." I get back up and put my hand to my chest. He tried to hide his emotion of "this is not my daughter" but I could tell in his eyes.
"Oh I'm sorry, honey." He says as he ruffles my hair. "Liam's here. Didn't you hear the honking?"
"Honking? No..." I look out my window and see LeeLee standing outside of a pretty sweet car.
I run out of my room past my father. "Don't be gone too long! I'll have dinner waiting..." My dad's voice got quieter and quieter as I ran out of the house.
I finally get to the porch and stand there in awe. "It's pretty sweet, right? Another day done."
"Totally sweet," I comment. "Did you just get it?"
"Yep, got it cheap." He swung is key loop around his finger, trying to look cool with some sunglasses.
"That's amazing," I answer.
"C'mon," he gestured me to come and get in the car, I did what he pleased. I got in and the interior is better than the exterior. A lot of suede. "I would get fudge pops... But this is new."
"I get it, I get it" I laugh. "Where are you taking me?
"A place you've never been," I look at him questioningly as he starts to laugh. "Get it? Book joke? Oh... It's on your bookshelf." He put the car in reverse, pulled out, then started driving left.
"I'm too lazy to read-"
"Too lazy to read?" He put one of his hands over his heart. "Have you seen your bookshelf?"
"Hands on the wheel!" I yell at him, my skull fizzled. "And yes, I have. Am I a nerd?"
"No, you were kind of popular in your clique."
"Are you saying I can't be a nerd if I'm popular? Isn't that like discriminative or something?"
"Wha-" he starts laughing really hard. His laugh is very contagious. "No, well, um..."
"So I was a big reader?"
"No... You're quite small, the reading part yes," I slapped him lightly on his arm. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding, not really."
"Interesting..."
"Yup."
He got quiet so I turned up the music. "Guns for Hands" by twenty one pilots came on, I loved the drum part so I air drummed.
Liam turned the music down quite quickly. "Hey! That's a good song."
"You know the song?" He asked. I looked out the window and we were parked on the side of the road.
"Why wouldn't I know the song? It's my favourite dr-..." A pocket in my mind suddenly burst, like a pimple (disgusting I know). "Oh my god oh my god ohmygod!! I can't believe, I'm so happy!" I opened my arms and surrounded LeeLee even though there was a compartment between us but I didn't care, I was ecstatic. He was too.

Turns out LeeLee took me out to a restaurant and I felt shameless for not having any green slips of paper. But he said it was okay, it was a celebratory meal for remembering.
After we decided to watch some movies at my place on some 'Network Flicks'?? I don't really remember. But I was okay with it, as long as he was.
We hopped in the car after I said 'thank you' countless of times. "Oh shoot," I said. "My dad had a dinner waiting for me."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay, I really liked the dinner."
"I'm glad you did," He smiled as he still stared at the road, it kept me at ease. "Maybe we can eat the dinner as a snack or something."
"Okay..." I replied.
We got to my house and he double locked his car doors, he's very protective of his things.
He opened the door for me as I entered. A woman sat at my dining table with my father, her back towards me.
"Kay!" My dad expressed. The woman turned around and her green eyes hit me like a stop sign.
"Mom?"
