RAEGANS POV

as I step out of jacks car I hear him open and shut his door too

"raegan!"

"hm?"

"I didn't get to kiss you goodbye"

he walks up to me and kisses my cheek.

I freeze

jack champion just kissed me.

he giggles at me and I realise I had probably made a stupid face, dammit

I can't say anything so I smile and wave at him as he walks back to his car and drives off

"raegan estella garner get inside right now it's freezing outside!"

I turn around to see my mom standing at the door and I wonder how long she had been there for

"what did you want me to help you with?"

I ask as I walk inside

"actually you have to help your brother cook since he claims your the better teacher"

I walk into the kitchen to see isaiah eating pasta

"mom said I had to help you cook?"

"huh? I looked up a tutorial, it's not the best but it's not bad, here try some"

he gives me a fork and I take a bite

"actually not bad"

"ew don't talk with your mouth full your so gross"

he laughs and I nudge him

"kids come look at this"

we follow our mom out to the lounge

"SURPRISE!"

I jump at the loud noise before I start smiling again

"happy birthday rae rae"

jack smiles as he walks up and hugs me

"you remembered?"

"your mom said you and isaiah weren't gonna do anything this year so I decided to plan something"

I turn to alano who was talking to isaiah

"is this why you sprinted to hockey practice earlier?"

I ask him

"yep"

he smiles

"do you like my decorations?"

"they're amazing! for a 17 year old"

"wow that hurt"

he puts his hand on his chest pretending to be hurt

"here look what I got you"
