"Ma'am, my name is...." "We all know your name is Grace Willie and your mum is single. She works as a doc In a small hospital." The woman cut in. "Now, let us introduce ourselves to you, My name Is Mr. John Davids and this is my beautiful but grumpy wife, Mrs. Amy Davids. We are Damien's parents" the man said in his thick voice, eating a slice of cake. "So, Damien told us that he is in love with you. Apollo and Agnes went out so don't look for them" the woman said, noticing that I was searching. "OK ma'am". "So Grace, Damien wants to make you his life partner blablabla......but high school isn't over yet. So get along as lovers and we just want to tell you AHEAD of the engagement and wedding day.

We have two rules you must obey or .....you'll lose our son, Forever." The woman said. "I am ready to obey any rules or regulations, Damien's mum" I promised. "OK, so first.....YOU are not our type of girl" they said and silence fell upon the dining table. "Mum, what are you saying now" Damien yelled at his mum. "We told you before, Damien. That we do not want an uncompleted building for a daughter-in-law" she barked. "Look here, if you want to be the daughter-in-law of the famous Davids family, then you will have to get your dad" Damien's dad told me. "What?! But I don't know where he lives or....please don't say this, my dad won't agree" I cried. "Whatever, just rent a dad if you can,but an older man has to walk you down the aisle on that day" Damien's dad told me. "Secondly, you need a better status. We never wanted a doctor's daughter a daughter-in-law. So, be a model, be an actress, but become famous, somehow" Damien's mum said.

"But .....OK..." I signed, holding up tears. "What problem do you have with this girl, sister Amy" Isabella asked. "Shut up!" Damien's mum nearly slapped her. I stood up and left the house and Damien followed me. "Grace....grace" he tried to stop me. "Damien, I don't think I can do this anymore your parents hate me and I can't bear a bad in-law " I poured out all my tears. "Am sorry, Grace. But tell me something. Who do you love? Me or my parents?" He asked looking into my eyes seriously. "You....who else" I answered, still crying "Then, don't care about my parents. Be yourself, it's what i want for you" he told me and hugged me. "Thanks Damien" I said and turned around. "Are you going alone? Let me drop you off" he insisted. "No, am ok" I said and left. "Love you Grace" he blew a kiss  "Love you more" I smiled and walked out. Awwwwn Life is beautiful when you have someone by your side Someone like Damien I got home 10pm and found mum looking angry. She came towards me and gave me an angry look.

"What did I do to you, girl" she asked me. " I don't understand" I told her. "Why can't you share anything with me, even your whereabouts and marriage plans" She asked almost crying. "I am not hiding anything from you mum, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CAN'T CREATE TIME FOR US TO TALK" I said and burst Into tears on the floor. She knelt in front of me and brought me back up. "I know am at fault here. It's not a big hospital, yet I don't have time for my daughter am sorry darling " she cried. "It's OK mum" "I quit" she announced.  "Why would you quit???" I half yelled at her. "Because little children's life Re at stake and I have mine at home Hale and hearty so if I quit, I will care about my child" she said. "No mum, don't quit your job" I begged her. "OK fine ....everything is for your happiness, my darling " she sat me down. "Mum. I still have bad news" I continued crying. "What is it" she said. I explained everything that happened at the dinner to her and what Damien told me.

"Damien is right. But still, It's not easy to get your dad to agree." Mum wrote down an address and gave it to me. Tomorrow is a weekend. You'll go to his house" mum announced. I sighed The next day, I woke up fresh. I wore a yellow  dress touching my knee with black shoes. I let my hair down and Mum wasn't home. I took the address and left. "Taxi, please take me to No. 47 Cassie Road" I told the taxi as it drove off. It was so far away, I slept off in the car. After two hours which seemed like just 5minutes, he woke me up at a very busy road. "We are there, ma'am $35 dollars." He spoke and his voice was like a bomb to my ears. I had just 5 dollars and I just had to give up my $40 dollar necklace and he gave my $5 and drove off. I was now at Cassie Road. The paper asked me to ask someone where the Martin Mansion was. Actually, I was Grace Martin before I became Grace Willie due to the divorce. "Uhmmm... Madam, my name is Grace Willie and I don't know Martin Mansion. Can you please take me there?" I asked a woman picking apples from the ground as I joined her.
