-3rd Person PoV-
Percy realised he couldn't go back, as soon as he saw the wolf that bit him transform back into a regular, grey-haired, human. One whom you would expect to see walking down the street, blending into the crowds of the bustling sidewalk. He knew it would just put everyone around him in more danger, more danger than they already were in just by being demigods or his family, especially with the amount of enemies he has made over the years...
So, he stayed away from everyone of his past. Going to all lengths to avoid them, just keeping his distance from his loved ones.. I can't just endanger the ones I love even more than I already have, I almost killed my mum just by being a demigod when I was 12. Being a werewolf could kill her for real, I can't loose her! He thought to himself, as he just stared in disbelief at the being in front of him. He promised himself he would visit the woman who gave birth to him, and the one he loves so much. But, he wouldn't stay for too long, he didn't want to risk her life anymore than he had done just by being born.
"Hello, I'm Alfredashaun. I truly am sorry for biting you, however it was necessary, for the future. You may not appreciate it now, or anytime soon as a matter of fact. But I do hope you don't hate it too much, I like to think of it as a gift, one that helps you in life to find your true self. I will help you with your transaction into this new life, it can be scary, I know that. By the way, you travelled a good distance, almost couldn't keep up at times!" The man said to him, in a soothing voice, as if to coax him not to run away.
"Where am I?" He replied, wanting to know how far he had actually travelled in a singular night.
"You ran from just out side of New York, all the way to the edge of Miami, that's a total of 1,183 miles. I think you tried to follow the coast, but then that's not too surprising, after all you are a son of the Sea God." He replied, obviously happy he wasn't questioning why the bite was necessary. But it was the only way the boy could gain immortality. Especially as Zeus wasn't planning on offering it again to the spawn of the sea.

Percy kept to the promise he made to himself, no matter what was going on with him, or where he was, he would visit Sally Jackson every Saturday. Sometimes he spoke to Paul Blofis, too, if he happened to be outside when Percy passed. He never stayed for too long. He just talked to her, they met up in the street outside her apartment with Paul. He would walk past her, then just stop, turn around, and they would talk for 10 minutes straight.
Not even caring at all the dirty stares they got for stopping in the middle of the sidewalk, forcing people to go around them.
This continued this for 2 years, when Percy suddenly decided he wanted to go live somewhere else, to get away from New York for a bit more than just a week. He told his loving mother this, she wished him luck and they parted ways after a longer than normal conversation, where he actually went into the apartment for some dinner. They knew it could be the last time they saw each other, so they made sure it was a nice goodbye and they left each other on good terms. The main reason he was leaving was because he had almost run into old acquaintances of his several times now, and he had already dyed his hair so that he was unrecognisable to them. Yet, he still feared it wasn't enough, so he ran. He ran far away.
——————TIME SKIP———————
After that, the two of them travelled America for 7 years, taking avoiding the Hunters of Artemis to the extremes, they would jump off cliffs, endangering their lives as to not get caught by the group. That is until, they ran into some trouble with the group costing Percy's mentor his life...
They were hunting in the forests near Minnesota, sticking to their strict diet of rabbits, squirrels or birds, nothing too big for the God's to notice. However, one Olympian did notice their activity, and she happened to have a group of man-hating girls who loved to hunt at her disposal. Therefore, she let them have a bit of fun chasing them.
The hunters finally caught up with the two wolves they had been hunting for a week and a half, surrounding the males with all bows raised and aimed at vital points that could kill at a seconds notice. Those without bows out had their silver hunting knives out, a deadly weapon for such 'monsters'.
The mentor transformed into his human form, so he could converse with the females without it coming out as snarling, that is. "We don't want anything bad to happen, ladies. We come here in peace, could we please just talk something out? As far as we are aware, we aren't a danger..." He practically begged them.
However, this just made the group hate him more, as one sneered "No way, boy" Practically giving the rest a sign to fire at the grey-haired man, many arrows hitting his torso with a deadly accuracy in their silver-tipped arrows. The only metal that could actually kill him, especially in such a high amount.
They felt no remorse, knowing these were monsters who needed killing. Luckily, they were without their Lady Artemis on this hunt, whilst she was busy on Olympus, along with her Lieutenant. This meant they could kill without being punished.
However, killing the mentor just caused the mentor-ee to be annoyed, even more than before. He had been avoiding hunters, campers and old loved ones for 9 years now, and he had been pushed to the edge with them killing someone who wanted peace. He did just want to talk, not bribe or persuade or anything like the sort...
So, he ran, he just ran away. The girls were not expecting such an outburst so they stared as he jumped over their heads with amazing speed.
They tried to catch up with him for days but once anyone could get close, they were dead in an instant. He didn't even regret it, they had killed the one who took him in and taught him everything he needed to know about being a werewolf. That is, everything apart from how to change and keep more than boxers on in his human form.
——————MEANWHILE———————
Campers had been looking for the Hero of Olympus, hoping he was still alive. After the twins told Annabeth about what had happened, she immediately went and told Chiron, her true father figure who had a fatherly love for Perseus, too.
Once the God's found out, there was absolute chaos. Yet they couldn't interfere or they would be breaking ancient laws, no matter how much they wanted to.
They could, however, make all of his closest friends immortal, to look for the young hero. And they did so, Zeus claimed it was to help train the new demigods each year, as if saying 'I don't want him found? what are you on about! Don't accuse me of liking such an idiot.' But he did, he knew a lot of their reason for still being alive was him. No matter how much the King of the Gods didn't like to admit it, he was thankful of Perseus Jackson.
The new immortals would search all year round for their missing friend. Then meet every other friday, to see if they had made any progress. They slowed down searching after 13 years, when they gradually gave up hope on ever finding their friend. However, Nico and Hades had both confirmed his soul was not in the Underworld, yet. And that fact alone, gave everyone hope, it fuelled them when searching. It was like a never-ending scavenger hunt, but it was for someone they all loved in varying amounts.
Over the years, everyone was loosing hope. Until eventually they reached a point where they all stopped searching, and tried to move on with life. Most were successful and pushed their thoughts about Percy to the back of their mind, all apart from Annabeth. Whom no matter what she tried, she just couldn't get herself to do it. And that's what hurt her the most.
Little did anyone know that two Goddesses were, in fact, keeping a very close eye on the lost male. They just didn't tell anyone that they knew exactly where he was, let alone what he was doing.
A/N: Hope it was okay, I might re-write bits of it, like not going to lie. :/
