"Ah, home sweet home." Matty groaned and fell onto his couch. He propped his feet up on the arms of the couch and turned on the TV, he tried to make himself stay up until Sheryl ended her work shift. He failed, it was six in the afternoon but Matty was jet-lagged and tired enough to fall asleep without noticing.
He woke up what felt like hours later to the sound of knocks. He thought it was strange that someone would come and knock on his door when barely none knew where he lived, not even Sheryl when he thought about it. He rose from his spot on the couch and paced over to the front door, carefully opening. Sheryl stood in the stairway with her hair soaking as droplets of water ran down her forehead. He looked furious.
"You had me waiting on you for one hour! One hour in the pouring rain! ONE HOUR!" she shouted at him, making her own way into his apartment.
"What?! I am so sorry. Sher."
"Don't say anything, just give me something warm to put on! I'm gonna get sick!"
"I'll be right back." he muttered and ran into his bedroom in search for a sweater and some sweatpants. He returned with them and a few blankets that he threw on the couch. Matty waited for Sheryl who was changing in his bathroom. She entered the living room with a towel wrapped around her head and her soggy clothing.
"I hung my clothes in the bathtub." she said quickly taking a seat next to Matty on the couch.
"Why didn't you just go home?" he asked her.
Sheryl sat up a little taller in her seat and looked down at Matty, "I'm gonna tell you why." she said and licked her lips before continuing. "I came to the park where we were supposed to meet. Okay. And so I waited for you, thinking you may be stuck in traffic. I waited for forty minutes until i decided to go home because it started raining. But I then decided to come here instead only to have you feel guilty for letting me wait for you in the pouring rain." she smiled, "and as it turns out, and as I believed, you weren't stuck in traffic because you were sleeping." she said, pointing on his arm.
Matty scratched the back on his head, then running a hand through his hair. "I am really sorry for that." he apologized once more to her. He had never felt this bad before. He had made up plans with Sheryl and then he fell asleep.
"It doesn't matter now anyway, does it?" she scoffed, turning her attention towards the TV which was still going.
"I guess not."
She didn't reply. And as she so intensely watched the TV Matty studied her small frame. Her hair was held up by a white towel and his black t-shirt that was too big for her fell perfectly over her body. Matty nudged her leg with his foot because he couldn't keep from thinking how beautiful her face was from in front.
"What?" she said slowly, a smile forming on her lips.
Matty leaned in instead of answering. She smiled even wider at how weird her acted but Matty didn't care. His left arm held a strand of blonde hair before tucking it behind her ear. He started to hum a song. Sheryl didn't move from where she was seated which gave Matty the advantage to move closer. His lips brushed over Sheryls' and he felt her tense up. He started humming louder and made out some quiet words to calm her down, but Sheryl didn't seem to get any calmer by this and she shut the space between then as their lips collapse onto one another. Matty massaged her hip as he pushed her down on the couch, her hands were firm around his neck. Their kisses became more rushed and Matty deepened the kiss by adding his tongue. As Mattys' mouth traced down to her neck and started sucking at very few spots Sheryl gave out a muffled moan, but he didn't seem to notice when he bit down on her neck. Sheryl longed for more as she wanted Matty to kiss her again, her hands grabbing around his face and she smiled to him as she brought him up again.
