"To be honest with you." Sheryl said as she swallowed a spoonful of cereals. "You surprise me sometimes."
Matty nodded to make it clear that he was listening. "What is it then?"
"Well, when did you last party?" She asked him, waiting for an answer before she could go on.
"Not sure, since I met you."
"Figured. So, my question is why? You seemed like a person to always party and now you just quit it? That is what surprises me."
"I'm confused. Am i suppose to answer your question?"
Sheryl thought for a moment before answering, "yes."
"Well, I don't know then." he answered honestly. The truth was, Matty didn't really know because he loved to party. He did, he just couldn't keep it up if he wanted to be with Sheryl.
"That was also a very surprising answer." Sheryl stood up from her chair and walked over to the sink, placing her bowl in it.
"I guess I'm a man of surprises." Matty said as he wrapped his arms around the girls waist, pulling her into his embrace. She smiled from his touch.
"Do you fancy partying?"
"I wouldn't mind, it was a while ago."
"Then let's go partying."
Sheryl cheered and turned in his arms, placing a quick kiss on his lips. He laughed softly.
-
"I have to go back to mine and get dressed. Come and pick me up later?"
"Sure." Matty smiled as he closed the door after kissing her cheek goodbye.
He was left standing in his hallway, looking at the dark wooden door in front of him when suddenly a hideous head ache struck him. The vision of the woman from yesterday's dream was now appearing again and he fell down to the floor to try and regain his control. The vision was longer now, the streak of light before was now the head lights of a car. But then everything disappeared and Matty opened his eyes. He was back in his hallway again, everything was as it should be. No head ache, no visions.
Without questioning it, he walked to his room and got dressed for some party he had been invited to a few days ago. He picked Sheryl up around half past nine and they took off together.
The place was propped with intoxicated people but Matty and Sheryl managed to find two empty seats where they were squeezed together on a small couch.
"Comfy."
"Very." Sheryl fake-smiled at his sarcasm.
Both of them holding a bottle of beer they drank at the same time before turning to each other and laughing at their synched action. It was obvious this party was a flop.
"I wanna get wasted." She yelled over the loud music, "and high."
"You're only 19." Matty informed her.
"It's not like I haven't done it before." She drank from her beer and placed it on the table in front of her. "I need something stronger, c'mon!"
Matty was dragged off his ass and followed Sheryl to the kitchen where she found all types of alcoholic drinks. She poured herself a shot and one for Matty too. They slug it down at the same time. One after another they were starting to get really drunk and Sheryl stumbled up the stairs of the big house.
"Baby I'm here!" she shouted at Matty who was searching for her downstairs. A huge grin played on his face when he saw her, he ran up the stairs. Due to the amount of alcohol that was filling his body he stumbled at the top of the stairs and pressed Sheryl up against the wall for support.
