For weeks I've been happy

So yeah we're trying to figure out whose doing all of This.
Brendan and I have been going on dates.
For some reason I shouldn't.
He's addictive
He's smart and kind
He's cold at the same time.
Now I don't approve that he's a dirty FBI agent.
But I can't leave him.
So much shit is going on right now.
I took a vacation off work but I've been going back.
Right now I've been busy with Brendan and with the mafia.
I never found out what dad and Ryder were talking about.
I've been to busy.
But I wanted to know so I'm Visiting Ryder.
He won't lie to me, he'll say it straight up.
" Miss Petrova" the security man says as I enter the house
" I'm seeing Ryder, Is he up" I nod my head towards his office
He nods
I walk towards his office and I enter.
I see Milo laughing with Ryder
I smile.
It's so nice seeing a parent with their kid having a good time.
Ryder sees me in the door and he waved
" We need to talk" I say while I walk towards his desk and I sit down on one of the chairs.
He nodded
" Milo here" Ryder hands him 50 dollars
Milo takes it " Go get Mira and get some ice cream, have fun and Mom will be home tonight"
I forgot
Esma is doing a mission imma DC.
Milo runs happily out the door " THANK YOU DADDY BYE TIA SELENA"
I smiled.
" So what did you want to talk about?" Ryder says paying all attention to me.
" What were you and My dad talking about? The night of Coles party"
He takes a deep breath " Selena maybe you should talk about this to your dad"
" He's busy, I didn't want to bother him. So I know you're not busy at the moment so I wanted to ask you"  I say to him
" Alright, the feds are snooping around at the moment."  Ryder says getting papers and showing them to me.
The papers had pictures and numbers.
Cops are trying to find a way to take us down.
Shit
Fuck.
I lean back in my seat " So that's why everyone is on edge right now?"
He nodded.
" Ryder ?" Tony calls him in the doorway.
He looks troubled
" Yes?" Ryder says looking at him.
" Calm down when I tell you this" Tony says
Ryder looks confused.
" Your mother is here" Tony says.
Ryder grips the Glass cup he's holding and it breaks in his hand causing it to bleed.
" Ryder are you okay?" I asked concerned
I took off my black jacket I wore and I wrapped it on his hand.
Ryder struggled to breath and his eyes started to water.
I didn't know about his family but I did know to call my sister.
I got out my phone and Dialed Adenzia's number.

" Yes?" Adenzia answers
" You need to get here NOW" I say
" Where?"
" Ryders"
She hangs up

I looked at Ryder " Are you okay?"
He takes deep breaths and shakes his head.
" What happened?"
He doesn't answer
Tony does " His mom abandoned him when he was a teenager, she was a crack Whore. She left him alone for weeks at a time and left him with no money for food and she didn't even pay the water or electricity bills, so he went alone without those utilities."
I stared at Ryder
I feel bad he's struggling right now.
A few Minutes later Adenzia comes running.
" Are you okay?" She says holding him.
" She's here" Ryder whispers
" I know I saw her waiting in the living room" she says
" I have to face her" Ruder says now standing up and he holds a cold look on his face that truly scared me.
Adenzia,Tony and I follow him.
I see a woman in the living room.
She's white,blue eyed, blond hair, and she's skinny.
High cheek bones, and her hair is curled lightly.
" What is is Raven?" Ryder bites out.
" I wanted to see you" she says to him.
" Bullshit, do you need money?"
She shakes her head
" No Ryder. I wanted to stop by and see you I swear, I got clean. And I'm getting married"
" You got clean? After what? 20 years?"
She takes a breath and she stands up.
She's wearing a sundress that does above her knees.
" Ryder I was a shitty mother I know. And I'm so sorry. But I wanted to get to know you and I wanted you to get to know your brother" raven says to her son
Ryder snaps his head to his mother
Adenzia gasps
And Tony is staring at Raven wide eyed.
I'm shocked
" B-brother?" Ryder stuttered
" Yeah he's 4 I had him when you were 18"
" you officially abandoned me at 16 and you had him 2 years later!? What kind of mother are you?" Ryder says
" I'm sorry Ryder. I am. And I wanted to know if there's a chance I can be in your life again? And my grandchild's life?"  She says
" Grandchild's? How do you know I have a son?" Ryder say rage in his eyes.
" I saw him running out of here excited and he reminded me of you when you were his age. Happy and perfect."
Ryder tuned away from her and his eyes watering.
He didn't let them fall.
" I saw myself in him when I met him when he was 6. He was broken from the world. How you let me be broken and what you caused by the world" he says
He finally faced his mom after a moment
" All I wanted was your acceptance and your love. I tried and I raised you more then you raised ME your OWN SON. I WAS A KID WHEN I MADE SURE YOU WERE WARM AND FED AT NIGHT WHEN YOU WERE HIGH"
Raven was speechless
" I wanted your to be my mother. I wanted you to love me." Ryder says
" I'm sorry-" Raven says but she stops when Ryder interrupts her.
" I don't want you in my life. But my mind changes all the time, so I wrote down your number so I might want to talk to you more. MIGHT."
She nods and she writes her number quickly and she leaves.
I will never understand how mothers and fathers will abandon their children.
It's not hard to be a parent
All you have to do is be there for them and love them.
