                      A woman who is tired and exhausted was leaning behind the door of the room where she was hiding.

She has dark circles around her eyes because of a lack of sleep after that incident and the cause of her nightmare.

Di nya magawang matulog ng di nya napapanaginipan ang unang pagkakataon pumatay sya.

"I'm not guilty... it's not my fault... it's her fault... s-he-she tried to kill me..." pagkukumbinsi nya sa sarili ng paulit-ulit simula ng mangyari ang bangungot nya.

But no matter how she convinced herself, she could not help but feel guilty and cry herself out as she silently blamed herself. After all, the one she killed was the person who saved her from those men who tried rape her.

It is quite a contradictory emotion she has every time she is on hide and not running away to those beasts and monsters.

BANG!

Nagulat sya sa narinig at naging alerto sakaling kinakailangan nyang tumakas sa ano man panganib.

She then heard another sound of guns firing near her hiding spot.

"Move! Move! Move! Soldiers! Search the buildings if there are any survivors!"

Nawala ang pagod nya at napalitan ito ng lakas ng loob at sigla sa narinig.

Di nya akalaing may mga sundalo na rescuers na darating dito.

Unfortunately, there is an obstacle between her and those soldiers.

Outside of her hiding spot are those hoard of undead zombies scattered in the area.

"Regroup after 30 minutes! Then move to the next area!"

Nataranta ang babae sa narinig kaya agad syang lumabas at dumungaw sa basag na floor to ceiling glass window.

"Here! Help! Help!" Sigaw nya sa mga sundalo na nasa ibaba ng building.

Because of her impulsiveness and fear of not being rescued, she startled the roaming undead around and spotted her.

Napasigaw sya ng may makalapit sa kanya na zombie na akmang kakagat sa kanya at agad nakahilag.

Because of her carelessness, she almost falls out of the broken window.

"Ah!!!" Sigaw nya.

"A survivor on building D, 5th floor, spotted! Delta team, move!" Comand ng leader ng mga sundalo ng makita nilang kamuntikan na itong mahulog at may mga zombies papalapit sa babae.

"Help!" The woman cried out of fear, but she has nowhere to hide or run to because she was blocked by the zombies.

Nagsisisi sya sa kanyang pagka-impulsive na sumigaw imbis na mag-isip ng paraan para makaalis ng di naalerto ang mga zombies.

And there is only one way out, which is a dangerous way out of here. And that is the broken floor to ceiling window behind her.

Walang pag-aalinlangan nyang tinahak ang bintana. Mas minabuti nyang dito sumugal ng kanyang ikabubuhay kay sa mamatay sya sa mga kamay ng zombies.

"Better off dying by falling off in the building than die here and turn into one of them." Bulong nya sa sarili.

"Don't look down... breath in... then out..." sabi nya habang dahan-dahan nya tinatahak ang gilid ng nakasalambitin.

"It doesn't hurt... it does not!"

Her hands are bleeding because of glass shards na nahawakan nya.

She felt hours and days had passed while looking at the pipe she saw earlier to get down to the huge signboard of the building, which she thought will help her get down to the 2nd or 3rd floor of this building.

"Come on, girl! You can do it!" She encourages herself despite her feeling scared and hurting.

"Job well done, girl!" Masayang sabi nya sa sarili ng makalapit at dapo sya sa malaking signboard ng building.

"Survivor successfully got on the signboard! Now, she is preparing to go down - SHE FELL!" one of the soldiers reporting the situation of the woman exclaimed in fright the moment he saw her fall down.

"Ahhhh!" The woman screamed as she fell. She thought she could survive and finally leave this hell as she sighed in relief as she prepared herself to get down.

But an unbelievable thing happened because out of nowhere, a zombie jumped down on her.

Kaya nagulat ang babae sa nakita, and out of reflex, she tried to dodge the zombie. But she forgot where she is and forgot she has nowhere to hide or dodge, which has made her fall down.

'Mamamatay ba ako dito?' Ang naitanong nya sa sarili.

'This might be my karma. I will die without being rescued because I, myself, killed the one who saved me before.'

"Got you!" Someone said as the woman felt someone caught her.

"You're now safe, ma'am!" Sabi ng sundalo, which made her relax her tensed and battered body.

"The survivor is safe and sound, sir!"

"Then regroup on the boat in 10 minutes, Delta team!"

That was all the woman heard before she fainted.

A day has passed ng magising at maimulat ng babae ang kanyang mga mata.

Napabangon sya ng mabilis when she found that she fell asleep for too long and looked frantically around her ng mapagtanto nyang wala sya sa pinagtataguan niya.

"Finally gising ka na."

The woman heard a voice, and that's when she found out na di sya nag-iisa at may mga kasama sya dito.

"Here, drink this." Sabi naman ng isa pang boses sa kanyang gilid.

Kinuha ito ng babae ng may pag-alinlangan pero ininom din nya ito.

When the woman calmed down, she realised they were in a truck of a military vehicle.

She was one of the survivors these soldiers rescued.

"We are heading back to the HQ; you and the others are now safe, ma'am."

Napatingin sya sa lalakeng nasalita at sa ibang sibilyan na narescue rin ng mga sundalo.

Napahinga ng maluwag ang babae at napaiyak sya sa tuwa at lungkot gaya ng ibang sibilyan sa paligid nya.

Tuwa dahil sa buhay pa sya, lungkot dahil sa mga nangayari at naranasan nya sa maikling panahon.

"This be rude for interrupting you ma'am, pero kailangan po namin malaman ang pangalan nyo po." Sabi ng isang babaeng sundalo.

"We need your identification just in case na may pamilya po kayong naghahap sa inyo sa HQ base po." Paliwanag ulit ng sundalong babae ng di kumibo ang kausap.

"Don't lose hope, po ma'am may ibang narescue or survivors who got reunited to their families, relatives, or friends po." Pagpapatuloy ng babaeng sundalo, trying encourage and give hope to the person she's speaking to.

"Julianne..." the woman said in a low raspy voice. "Julianne Rodriguez."
