Uno x Jyugo - The Want that comes with Loss

Finding out you are having pups is a beautiful thing, and Uno and Jyugo happen to be blessed with three. But.. this blessing ends up being short lived, and cruelly taken away from them far too soon.

About twenty two weeks ago, Jyugo had learned that he and Uno were expecting pups. It was an unexpected discovery, as they had not been actively trying to concieve, but a pleasant one nonetheless.

After Jyugo had been rather moody, nauseous in the mornings and having weird cravings, not to mention how his scent had gotten strangely sweeter- especially around his stomach- Uno was the first to put two and two together and realize that the omega may be pregnant.

One doctor's visit later, and sure enough, the alpha's suspicions were confirmed as true. Three tiny little masses were seen on the ultrasound screen. Three pups growing within Jyugo.

Uno was ecstatic. He absolutely showered his mate in affection the second they got home, loving kisses smothering Jyugo's face and arms wrapped around his back tightly.

Jyugo, however, was rather uncertain about this whole situation. Was he ready to be a mother? He was infamously bad at doing anything other than his single skill of jailbreaking from back when he and Uno were in Nanba, so how the fuck was he supposed to raise pups?!

Even though he may have had his fears, he would be lying if he said he wasn't happy, and he couldn't help but laugh under Uno's excited affections as he was peppered with kisses.

The couple took to learning as much as they could to prepare for a life of parenthood. Several parenthood books were bought by Uno for the two of them to read, and they also took to the internet to research on Mommy Blogs and other websites. It was definitely a lot to take in, but both were willing to put in the work for the sake of their litter.

Jyugo had changed quite a bit as the weeks went by. His stomach slowly grew rounder, his behavior changed to a bit more secluded and cautious, and he spent a lot of time in his and Uno's nest just relaxing and scrolling through his phone while cradling his baby bump in a hand.

Uno made sure his mate was well looked after. He brought him food and water whenever he needed it, comforted him when he had mood swings, and all in all was just overly lovey dovey on him. He just couldn't get enough of the fact that he and Jyugo were going to be parents.

Come week twenty, Jyugo was already quite big, heavy with puppy. Having multiples was the main major factor in his size being bigger than it would have been at the current milestone.

He and Uno had discussed names a few days ago, and decided on six names– one for each gender for each pup. They were quite prepared by now, but continued to look up more information just to be safe.

The spare bedroom in their house had long since been converted into a nursery, painted blue and pink and decorated from top to bottom. Some things they had bought themselves, while others were gifts from their friends and acquaintances.
