MJ's 19th Birthday Vlog

Have y'all ever seen a Japanese Spider crab? They're freaky.

The video opens to Peter and MJ sitting in the living room of their house.

"Hey guys, welcome back to the Ironfam!" he says brightly. "This will be coming out a bit later, but as of today, February 24, MJ is 19!"

"We decided we would just sort of vlog the day," MJ says. "I'm sure you'll see Ned, Harley, Emma, and Mackenzie come in and out, they're around here somewhere."

"The first thing we're going to do is bake a cake," Peter says. "And of course, when I checked, we have none of the things we need to do that. So I guess technically the first thing we're doing is going to the store."

{cut}

Peter and MJ are standing in front of Westside Market, Peter filming them.

"We survived the walk to the store!" he says brightly.

"Shocking," MJ rolls her eyes.

{cut}

MJ is filming as Peter walks down one of the aisles.

"Did I mention I have no clue how to bake a cake?" he asks.

MJ snorts. "Just get one of the mixes, and we can get some frosting and make it pretty."

Peter shrugs, grabbing several lemon cake mixes off the shelf and tossing them into a cart in front of MJ. He then grabs several jars of whipped vanilla frosting, as well as a package of food coloring.

"Aw, you got my favorites!" MJ says teasingly.

Peter rolls his eyes at her. "Of course I did, it's your birthday, did you think I would get Dad's favorite?"

{cut}

The camera is set up in the kitchen, Peter and MJ both standing behind the counter.

"Time to bake the cake," MJ says, ripping open one of the boxes of mix. "Can you find the eggs, Pete?"

{cut}

MJ is using an electric mixer to stir the batter. Peter is rubbing butter and sprinkling flour into several cake pans. Harley walks into frame, opening the fridge.

"Oh, baking again, are we?" he asks. "Make sure to follow a recipe this time, wouldn't want a blackened cake."

"We are following the recipe exactly," Peter rolls his eyes.

"Also we mostly used a mix," MJ supplies.

"Glad to see you remembered to grease the pan this time," Harley says, laughing as he leaves the frame. Peter chucks a stick of butter at him.

The cakes have apparently finished baking and cooling. MJ is trimming the top of one of the circles, flattening it out, while Peter stirs a bowl of frosting and food coloring, turning the white frosting into a lavender.

{cut}

Bowls of berries, melted chocolate, and purple frosting are sitting on the counter, along with one large purple layer cake, and one smaller purple layer cake.

"It's ready to decorate," MJ says, spooning frosting into a piping bag while Peter does the same with the chocolate. "We made a second cake because we're putting strawberries on it, and Pepper is allergic to strawberries, so she gets a little one that won't have strawberries on it."

{cut}

There's a time lapse of Peter and MJ decorating the cake, drizzling chocolate down the side. MJ makes dollops of purple frosting around the edge. Peter takes sliced strawberries and sets them in the dollops, and MJ puts raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries around them. They decorate the smaller cake the same, but without the strawberries.

{cut}

"The cake's done and safely in the fridge," Peter says, wiping down the counter while MJ rinses out a bowl behind him. "Now we're going to go to the New York aquarium, because we both love the ocean and MJ's never been before."

"I'm excited about it," MJ says, setting the bowl on the counter. Peter picks up a towel and begins to dry it while MJ starts washing a pan. "Apparently there's this tunnel you can go through, walking right through a coral reef, and it looks pretty cool."

{cut}

"So," MJ says, looking down at a piece of paper as they walk into the aquarium. "First we just look at the animals, then we have the penguin encounter, then the sea lion encounter, and then the sea lion aquatheater show."

"I'm so excited," Peter says to the camera. "I came here once with May and Ben, but we didn't do any of the extra things, so I can't wait to see it!"

{cut}

"Oh my god, a touch pool," Peter says.

He and MJ hurry over to the touch pool. An employee gives them a safety speech, and then they're allowed to touch the animals.

"This is so cool," MJ mutters, stroking the shell of a crab. "I ****ing love the ocean."

"Me too," Peter says, happily patting a small stingray. "If I could breathe underwater, nobody would ever see me again."

{cut}

Peter is filming from behind MJ as she walks through the coral reef tunnel. She reaches up as a small zebra shark swims overhead, fingers brushing against the glass, before turning as a butterfly fish swims past to her left.

{cut}

MJ is filming now. Peter is standing in front of a tank of jellyfish, apparently completely content to sit there and watch them move forever.

{cut}

Peter and MJ are both standing in front of a tank containing a Japanese Spider crab.

"That thing is so huge," MJ says.

"Can you imagine if I was bitten by a radioactive one of them?" Peter says, looking partially intrigued, partially disturbed. "I could be the aquatic Spider-Man. How weird would that be?"

"If that thing was radioactive and wanted to bite you, I think you'd just be dead," MJ says. "It looks like it could crush you without a second thought."

Peter looks vaguely offended.

{cut}

Peter and MJ are outside, sitting on a bench.

"The aquatheater show is about to start," MJ says. "We're not supposed to film it, so sorry about that."

"We also got excited and forgot to film the encounters," Peter says apologetically. "We did take pictures though, so we'll show you those."

{cut}

Several pictures appear on the screen of Peter and MJ posing with, feeding, and petting with a penguin and a sea lion.

{cut}

"It was so cool, though," Peter says. "I cannot believe I got to pet a penguin!"

"I fed the sea lion a big fish," MJ says. "It ate it right out of my hand. They're also way cuter than I thought they'd be."

"Oh, the show's about to start, we gotta put the camera away," Peter says, angling the camera down towards the floor.

{cut}

"Well, that's about all we've got for you today," Peter says, back in the living room, MJ sitting next to him. "We didn't film MJ opening her presents, at her request, and we decided we're not going to film dinner tonight, but the team and everyone is coming over for dinner and cake."

"They'll be here any minute, so we're just going to finish this video up," MJ adds. "Like and subscribe to join the Ironfam if you want to see more of... this."

"Everyone wish MJ a happy birthday!" Peter exclaims. "See you later, Ironfam. Bye!"
