Their first class back was Herbology, neither of them particularly enjoyed it but it was an essential part of Hogwarts education in Dumbledore's opinion

The pair walked in together, his arm hooked in Eudora's as they made their way across the room, catching the attention of a few students who's whispered chatter neither of them could understand

unfortunately Orchid wasn't in this class, so it was just the two of them

They stood side by side at the long table, professor sprout stood eagerly at the other end waiting for all of the chatter between the students to stop, but to no avail it did not, everyone was pleased to see each other again after the holidays

Eudora and Raine were no different, they eagerly chatted amongst themselves, the awkwardness from before had now faded, but she knew her friend was still curious as to what was going on with her.

"Uh-Hum" professor sprout cleared her throat, catching the students attention

"It is so lovely to have you all back and to hear you all so happy and talkative but we must work"

Walking to her desk she started to grab a few things, to be able to demonstrate to her students what todays lesson was, before a thought crossed her mind

"I almost forgot, i need to just move some of you"

The students looked at her confused, their seating plan had always been the same since first year, so a change in the final year seemed untimely

"Eudora" a look of sympathy filling her face, "i need you to move next to Mr Malfoy, Mr Zabini, you will take Miss Whitlock's place next to Mr Dougherty"

She stared towards her professor

"Why Malfoy"

"It seems to be at the request of the headmaster, now please, switch"

She looked to Raine, knowing it was a lie, Dumbledore had no reason to pair the two together

"I don't want too" she spoke quietly,

"What was that Miss Whitlock?"

"She said she does not want too" Raine spoke, annoyance clear in his tone

"Do you speak for her Daugherty?" A voice came from the other side of the table

She looked up to see Draco's eyes locked on Raine, unable to understand why he is so eager to put himself into this

"No" Raine's annoyance evident in his face, "but its obvious she does not want to sit next to you"

Of course Draco would laugh at his response

"That's enough you two" professor sprout pointed from one boy to the other "Eudora, move"

"do i have too?" Unsure as to why she even questioned the professor in the first place, she was fighting a losing argument

"Do not make me ask you again Miss Whitlock"

feeling Defeated she picked up her things and made her way across the room standing in her new spot, Taking Blaise's place while he took her old one, he looked just as annoyed as her.

she could hear professor Sprout explaining to the class what needed to be done, but she was paying no attention.

she looked up at Draco as she felt him turning towards her

"I don't think your boyfriend is too happy about you moving near me"

Of course he would make that assumption

"He's not my boyfriend"

"You sure looked cosy when you both walked in"

Cosier than she was now "Yeah Draco, real cosy"

he smiled, his tongue touching the inside of his cheek

"don't think I don't know about the two of you just last year"

"Nothing happened last year" she whispered hoping that no one around the two would hear

"Don't lie to me" he laughed, a few head snapping towards them in the process

"I know about all those sneaky meet up's"

Her cheeks turned red, wondering how he knew her business, he has eyes and ears all over Hogwarts, but moments like that, it was just between her and Raine

"That meant nothing"

looking around the classroom she was paranoid that another student would hear their conversation

"You're damn right it meant nothing, And it never will"

She couldn't help but feel disgusted at the way he assumed he had control over her

"I don't really think it is any of your business Malfoy"

He scoffed

"As my future wife, it is every part of my business" he whispered, "i am not having the parts of you that will one day belong to me passed around this school"

"I'm not your property Draco"

"Not yet.."

and he was right, not yet, he sounded so cruel, but she knew that she would be..

"anyway, I don't think that's anything to do with you either" she whispered back, barely believing they were having this conversation in the middle of a Herbology class.

"It's everything to do with me, why do you think you're here right now, next to me?"

"Because the headmaster said i had to"

"Incorrect" he grinned, "dumbledore simply passed the message on, our parents decided that were best being together when and were it is possible"

She shook her head, her interest in this conversation was now over

"It's my job to keep an eye on you"

"And why is that" she laughed, focusing on the table

"Well, why would I want someone who is not coming to me pure?"

"What do you me-"

"Not fucked Eudora, its me or no one"

Her tongue found her teeth

"Hold on, So my right to marriage has been taken as well as my right to fuck whoever?

He shook his head, almost shocked at her choice of words

"To put it simply, yes, but never let me hear you speak like that again"

She accepted the fact she was in a disagreement that couldn't be won

"Whatever Draco"

He scoffed, nudging her shoulder with his "It's Malfoy to you"

Her focus still on the table while she continued with her work "No problem...Malfoy"

"That's better, you'll soon learn your place with me"
