Chapter 3: the concert

Fast forward. The twins go and get their schedules and mostly they have the same classes as you or each other. They walk to their lockers which were the opposite side of the hallway from you and your friends’ locker. The twins’ lockers are by the jocks so they meet a few of them and chatted. Soon it was time for assembly. Jack, Mark and Sam all went backstage for the performance. There you guys meet up with the group who were getting prepared.

“Let’s do this, guys!” Amanda said in a loud whisper. “Amanda you do realize that there are girls in the performance” Kim said teasing Amanda. “Yes girly I do realize that there are girls who are performing such as you three. But it wouldn’t be as great if it weren’t for me.” Amanda said laughing along with Kim and you. Crystal came up to Amanda. “Well I guess you are implying that you are a guy now because you only mentioned us three who are performing” Crystal said cracking a joke making everyone laugh. “Well I’m not performing; I’m just directing did you forget” Amanda said teasing Crystal. “But you promised!” Crystal said almost whining. Everyone stared at Crystal or Amanda trying to figure out what was going on. Of course Jack and Mark were even more confused than the rest of them. They did not know that Amanda never performs. This would be her first time if they could convince her to do so. “Fine I will. I’ll dance for goodness sake.” Amanda said kind of angry. “You don’t have to get all defensive but we made a deal and it’s not fair that I did my share” Crystal said in an even more defensive tone. “I said I was doing it!” Amanda said in a loud whisper.

“Okay stop it you guys were are going up right about now so places.” Lucas said getting annoyed with the fight going on between the two and also the fact that they were about to perform. “And now you have your fellow classmates’ in a band wants to share to you a few of their songs…” You can hear the applause in the background.

“5… 4…3, 2, 1 go”, Amanda counted down softly. The band made an incredible performance. It was so awesome that once the gang hit a few chords the crowd was already grinning form ear to ear with a pleased look on their faces. Amanda showed off her amazing dance skills surprising everyone except for Crystal, who secretly knew that Amanda could dance, and the twins, who knew nothing at all. The gang did an outstanding job because at the end that everyone gave an encore.

Backstage the girls squeal with delight and the boys’ high-five one another. You could tell that the group acknowledges the twins slapping them on the backs and complementing them. You were smiling to yourself at the scene while the group was rejoicing. You couldn’t believe that you guys made it happen. You were so shocked by the out come. “Look at you face”, Jack says grinning. “What, is there something on my face”, you ask almost frowning. “No your face is lit up like a Christmas tree”, he says laughing. You can’t help but grin back at him. Slowly you came to the realization that you were staring at him. “What do I have something on my face”, he asks once noticing that you are staring at him.
