Chapter 9: the difficult problem is yet to be solved
Wait… take a deep breath and find a solution. When solving a problem like this you should at least show them a drawing on the board so that they can see how you did the problem. This is a problem that you already done, but in order to explain how to get the answer it will take a little time. Considering that you rarely follow the rules. But you come up with new methods to solve difficult problems which mean this was going to be rather challenging.
You of course decided to just read the notes you took in sequential order so then it will be easier to read. You raise your hand. “Yes Samantha”, Mr. Zimmer questions you. “I would be satisfied if I were given permission to use the board to explain the way I decided to solve this problem. Although I’ve received the correct and accurate answer, I however did not solve using the correct format you have demonstrated on the board for us to follow”, you inform Mr. Zimmer.
“I think that is understandable. You always do manage to come up with different formulas but always in the end you achieve the correct answer”, Mr. Zimmer commented. You smile and get out of your seat and walk up to the board. This is probably the 100th time you had to use the board to help you explain. But you were used to it. Everybody understood how to figure out problems by using your methods if you teach them this way.
"Okay now it is time to show them the problem through my eyes", you think as you close your eyes to find out how to start. You open them back up with determination beaming through them. It's time to conquer this problem... if that makes any sense at all.
