Why take Spanish when the perfect guy is in French?

 Chapter 10: You wished you had French

 You taught the class which seemed highly interested in the style that you taught them. You walk back to your seat and grin at Amanda. “Oh Sama. You once again got away with getting caught”, she whispers to me. “Yep and let’s keep it that way”, you reply then settle in your seat once again. “I don’t know the teacher too well but I think you should teach the class instead if him”, Mark tells you slightly above a whisper yet Mr. Zimmer did not hear thankfully.  “Trust me I don’t know everything”, you reply. But then the oh-so wonderful bell rings “BRIING BRIING BRIING”.

“See you class. Make sure you complete homework assignment number 13”, Mr. Zimmer tells a distracted class. You shake your head and chuckle. You, Amanda and Mark file out of class together. “I swear you could be a ninja Alex”, you tell Alex. He always seems to appear out of thin air. “I’m Chinese and American. I am sure it does not run in my blood”, Alex mutters slightly defended. “I didn’t mean it like that. It is an American expression for ‘you appear out of thin air’”, you say sad that your friend would think you forgot his heritage. “Sure. I believe you. You are too smart to get the two cultures mixed up”, Alex says with a smile. “Thank you Alex for understanding”, you reply giving him a hug.  “Well don’t forget you have to pick up a certain someone named Jack“, Alex replies with a smirk.

 “Oh… him… uh… he has French and I have Spanish now”, you say a bit uncomfortable. “So. It’s a perfect opportunity to show him around”, Alex, replies shaking his head at you. “He won’t think I’m too clingy”, you ask unsure. “Girl just go and help him. He’s my twin I think I would know if he thought that”, Mark says from in front of you and Alex with Amanda by his side. “Wow I suspected you were a ninja but Amanda also”, you ask totally forgetting that you guys were just in the same class as each other.  

 “I suppose you’re not paying attention to you surroundings. Are you sure you are trying to amplify your observational skills”, a familiar voice from behind you asks. “Jack, do not scare me like that again. Do you copy”, you ask Jack. “Or what”, Jack teases me. “I will probably use my martial arts skills on you”, you reply not even looking back to see Jack’s expression. “Sure. Whatever you say”, Jack says with a hint of sarcasm. I laugh. “Do you know how to get to your class”, I ask him noticing the hallways are close to deserted except Amanda and Mark. Alex seemed to have slipped off somewhere.

 “Ugh”, you thought. Why did you have to take Spanish while Jack was taking French? The only classes you two had together are English and Science.  Well and free period, which you guess makes up for not having such an easy class together.  You’re not fluent in Spanish but can carry on a conversation with a Spanish speaking person when necessary.

“Sure. Wish we had the same class together. At least I’m with Mark to keep me company”, Jack says while shrugging his shoulders. “True”, came Marks reply. “Hey you guys brighten up. We have 2 classes plus a free period where we all are together. And especially do not forget about dance. I think the dance teacher is going to make me dance though”, Amanda says from besides Mark.  Everyone grinned after that. “Guess I can wait until then”, you say. “That’s all I’m asking for”, Amanda replies. By this point we only have a minute left to get to class. You arrive at the French doors. “Well see you later”, you tell Mark and Jack, while giving them as hug. Amanda does the same as you. “Until Break”, Jack says and then they disappear behind the French doors. “Why couldn’t we have taken French”, you ask Amanda on the way to Spanish. “Oh get over it”, Amanda says opening the doors to Spanish. “¡Hola! (Hello)”, came your greeting from Srt. Ramella, our Spanish teacher. “¿Comó estáis? (How are you guys)” she asks us. “Estoy triste (I am sad)”, you reply then sit down. It was going to be a long Spanish class.
