Routine Before I Let Go

Touch to know your entering in
Enliven my consciousness within
As each nerve licks its neighbor;
Feeling when felt, I perceive my existence.

One inhale, one exhale coupled
Holding inward confidence, opposing outward anxieties
Up to trine pairings of pyramid faces
Structured: an inner authority

Solo accompanied - my oxygen circulating
Enter front ring to back, hearing
Voices beyond netted walls
The room's door shuts; now guarded.

Each bodily tinker, a product
Of its beating engines rhythm
Brain driven, heart translation
An orchestration of routine

Internal conversations ensue,
Knowing about what to know
For a regime yields, not perfection,
But familiar sense in unfamiliarity
