The teacher said she had to run a few errands, and that we needed to 'Familiarize ourselves with the new seating arrangement'
Well, I wouldn't mind. It's amazing how two people who are strangers just a few hours before can become close so quickly. Kylie and I hit it off from the get-go, and I think I'm just falling for her even deeper, just a happy crush, yeah right butterflies in my stomach bubbling in excitement. We talked the hour away, talking about, well, everything and anything, mostly surface-level stuff though, we didn't get that deep in our conversation. Time flew by, it was like nothing existed but the two of us, everything else was a blur in the background.Then the bell rang and we plummeted back to reality.
Kylie sighed, grabbed her things, and stood up, looking around the classroom as students ran to the door, then she looked at me, "Oh, right—" I said realizing she was waiting for me, I got my notebook, my phone, and my pencil case.
After fixing my chair we both walked out of the classroom and continued to talk.
The path from Math class to the cafeteria was the longest route I've ever encountered in the school. (Though I should ask Tyler since he's in Home Ec. which is halfway across the school.)"Wanna sit next to each other?" Kylie asked, staring at the window, leading to show our school garden and the football field, as we continued to walk down the hall. "Sure, if you're okay with sharing a table with the Wilkins that is,"
"You mean Andrea Wilkins? The one who—" Her voice rose
"Yes, yes, that's her..." I said cautiously, Mr. Williams, our science substitute from earlier, gave me a deathly side-eye. It was best not to get on his bad side since he's pretty much furious all the time.
"I mean, it won't be that bad right?"
"Ehh— fifty-fifty,"
"I'll take those odds then," She said gleefully.Authors' Note;
This update is clearly unexpected, it took me a while to churn out the chapter but I did!
Now, what happens when Kylie Valencia and the Wilkin twins meet? Nothing really, just a few e of words.
