We pushed the bright blue cafeteria doors, which opened to the auditorium-sized room. White folding tables and benches served as lunch tables with long white foldable seats. Andrea, me, and Tyler's spot was the one next to a huge window overlooking the garden, Andrea once found a cozy spot under a tree, but it was raining by then and then the next day it was wet, and then we forgot all about it. Until now.

Blurs of students walk by as they crowd the shops and vending machines.
"LIA—!"

There she is

I turned to Kylie and nodded in a certain direction. I walked towards our table, where Andrea now had her front hair slicked back by her ponytail, showing her cool gray hair highlights, and Tyler who was . . . knitting? Oh, right, Home Economics. I wonder how he puts up with it being the lamest add-on subject one could take.

"So who's this?" Andrea gestured to Kylie,

"I'm Kylie Valencia, nice to meet you," Kylie held out her hand and Andrea shook it, "Your hair is chocolate colored,"

"Oh, yeah, tried eating it before, bad idea", Kylie replied, Andrea gave me a thumbs up, and Tyler looked up and smiled at her, "Thanks Valencia, great presentation we got the highest score, Jasmine took a slight peek at our PeTa grades."

Kylie now had a shy smile on her face, "Name's Andrea, but you know that already don't you?" She chuckled and winked.

"You really shouldn't brag about that you know," I said in a scolding tone, she turned away from me and gripped the table tightly, she opened her mouth, and then—

"Drop it," Tyler growled looking at her straight in the eye. He then stared at me and continued knitting.

"So, what class did you meet Kylie?" Andrea got her lunchbox from her side and pulled out a small chocolate bar that she ate in a single bite, "Mathematics, Miss Myers had some stuff to do,"

"Oh, on our way I heard a bunch of girls saying it's because of a certain championship, she's the team coach for the track . . . isn't she?"

"Crispy chicken . . . Our championship!" Tyler said in a panic, slamming his book on the table, "I better eat up, our team is gonna be practicing again." He took out his lunch and started attacking the chicken leg on his lunch box.

Kylie looked slightly concerned, "Slow down, you'll choke,"

"Choke on what?" Andrea said her eyebrows went up and down, then she laughed and took out a box of Pocky and began eating them. "He's fine—" Tyler sat up quickly packing up his lunch box and throwing it at Andrea, who nearly fell over and stuck her tongue out at him. "Watch it!"

"That's a wild ride," Kylie giggled, Andrea smiled at her, "She survived 12 minutes of us, a new record, want one?" She shook the box of Pocky sticks. I grabbed a handful without hesitation, "Lianne!" Andrea dramatically gasped, "How dare you," she growled as she scooted away from me "Hmph!". I chuckled as I handed two to Kylie, who is amused by our banters, "This is normal," I assured her, rolling my eyes at Andrea, who stuck her tongue out at me. "Stealing my food shouldn't be normal!"

Andrea looked at her watch, "Lils, we gotta move," she said, staring at me. "It's nearly class, and I'm not gonna be late for his class again." She stood up and waved goodbye to me and Kylie. "Kylie, I have to go as well," She nodded, and as I walked away, I remembered something.

I turned back around and ran towards her, her earlier sorrowful expression suddenly became excited.
"Before I forget, can I get your number?"

Third Person P.O.V.

She asked for my number, Kylie lost in thought wandered in the hallway, and suddenly she smiled widely, she then took out her phone and started typing, leaning on the old black lockers.
