3: The Blonde Boy

Beomgyu walked out of his apartment building and was met with a cool breeze. It was Autumn so his fuzzy jacket was necessary to take. The weather was slowly getting more chilly as days were getting closer to winter.

Beomgyu hates winter. He would rather hibernate in his apartment and if he had the choice to not go outside until the entirety of winter was over, he would.

The streets he was walking through were completely silent. No cars, no people. No sounds that would describe a busy street. It was past midnight so normal people would be sleeping. Is Beomgyu one of those people? Not at all.  He is usually up this late and he would consider himself lucky if he fell asleep before midnight.

It was about a ten minute walk to the convenient store. This store is open 24 hours so whenever Beomgyu gets that late night crave he buys his snacks there.

While he's walking, at the dead of night, he hums the tune from the song he has been working on. This song he started to create wasn't for an assignment for his music production class. He wrote and produced this song from his heart. Maybe, this weekend, I'll work on Maze In The Mirror. He thought to himself while humming the tune.

A few more minutes went by and he finally arrived at the convenient store. As he approached the store he noticed a boy was casually leaning against the wall. He was wearing a black jacket and black faded jeans. He also was wearing a black snap back hat with his head down. His face was hidden, like he wanted to hide from the world, with blonde hair underneath the hat. The boy looked around his age. Beomgyu didn't want to disturb the boy, who was scrolling on his phone and not paying attention to Beomgyu's presence, so he took soft and slow steps toward the entrance of the store.

Beomgyu entered and headed towards the candy aisle. His favorite snacks are gummies so that is what he had in mind to get.

As he was about to choose the gummy candy he was craving for, three boys appeared in the same aisle he was in.

Beomgyu usually shops during this time because he likes to avoid people. He's indeed a social butterfly but not around strangers. And just his luck a group of boys, that seem to be around his age, just had to have the same idea as him. Coming to a 24 hour convenient store to buy candy at 2 in the morning? How dare they have the same idea as him.

While he was contemplating on what gummy candy to get, as the boys came nearer, his heart rate began to accelerate. Now Beomgyu usually is a calm dude and rarely would get anxious during these types of situations. It's totally normal to want candy this late at night. So why was he nervous?

He looked down at what he was wearing. He was wearing his pajamas with teddy bears on them! How embarrassing. He thought.

It seems the boys didn't care about his presence because they just took the candy they wanted and left the aisle.

Beomgyu exhaled the breathe he didn't realize he was holding during that entire time. Thank god. He thought to himself and sighed. He didn't know why he had a bad feeling about those boys but he's grateful they were gone. He grabs the bags of candy he came for and leaves the aisle.

He heads towards the beverage section, which is in the back of the store, where the freezer is. As he was about to choose what drink to get, he notices someone at the corner of his eye. He glances at direction and he finds one of the boys staring at him.
