23: Wake-Up Call

friends don't understand me anymore

It's the day after what happened at the nightclub last night, which had its up and downs. For Taehyun it was both. The best part of the evening was that he finally got the chance to talk with Beomgyu and how the it ended was unexpected yet optimistic for Taehyun. The worst part how was how it went down with his friends. He found out he was involved in an awful incident which resulted for him to leave his friends wordlessly since he didn't know how to face them.

Taehyun was lounging around in his apartment, not having any motivation to do anything besides watch a boring movie he's hardly paying attention to. He even didn't bother to go to the gym to do his daily workout today. Even though last night ended amazingly for him, he blames his friends for his current empty mood.

He received a text message and rolled his eyes when he saw who the message was from.

Park Jay
Can we talk?

Taehyun isn't someone to hold a grudge so he replies. He refuses to let negative feelings affect him.

Sure

You aren't inviting Yunjin
without telling me are you?

After that, he decides to text his favorite person in hopes that he will accept his invitation to hang out.

Huening Kai and Taehyun we're watching the movie together when suddenly Huening Kai asks, "Is it okay if I invite Yuna over?"

Taehyun turns towards him and blinks at his best friend, not remembering who that is.

"Yuna?"

"Yeah. The girl I met at the party."

"Oh! Are you guys dating—"

"No!" Huening panicked then calmy says, "We became friends. She's pretty cool actually but we would never date each other."

Huening Kai and Yuna may have left together at the party, but nothing happened between them.

"Oh yeah okay. You don't have to ask for permission from me since this is your apartment too. You can bring over whoever you want." Taehyun said in a laid-back tone.

"Cool," Huening Kai said.

Then momentarily after Taehyun sent a text to someone, he stood up which made Huening Kai look at him questionably.

"Where are you going?"

Taehyun glanced at him with a smile and retorts happily, "out."

Huening peered at him with furrowed eyebrows. He inclined to suspect Taehyun was up to no good with the sudden mood change his best friend was emitting.

"Why are you so cheery?"

"Oh nothing~," he sing-songed as he thinks about how he's going to see his favorite boy today.
