Ok, ladies. Now, Let's
get in formation.

I knew from the moment Mac entered the cafeteria and Jules would see her that she would only have eyes for her.

I wasn't jealous or shit, just... confused. And in a bad mood.

"Hey Jules, you good?" With a sigh, Mac sat down at the table. Nate was really starting to get on her nerves. How many times should she tell him she's done with him?

Jules followed Mac's gaze to her bandaged arm and waved her off with a laugh. "Oh yeah, it's nothing. Thanks again for helping me."

Rue was about to bang her head on the table. Jules already thanked her several times the night of the party. She really acted like an idiot when Mac was around.

The brunette seemed to think so too, because in response she just gave the blond a quick smile. Before Jules could embarrass herself any more, Rue started a conversation with her best friend.

"What did he want?" With her question, Rue nodded in the direction Mac was standing with Nate a moment ago.

Mac sighed again while adjusting her cheerleader top. She really didn't feel like talking about Nate, so she dismissed the subject with a terse reply. "He showed me once again why it was good not to give him a second chance after his toxic ass betrayed me, but anyways, what did you guys do at the weekend?"

– "Oh uh, we were just hanging out." Jules answered, a little too indifferent for Rue's liking.

Yeah, they just hung out, talked, listened to music, got high, but it meant something to Rue. Hearing Jules downplay it gave her a little pang in the heart.

"Like together?" Mac asked, glancing back and forth between the two with a mischievous grin.

While Rue nodded her head slightly, Jules' attention fell on something behind Mac. A black boy with dark curly hair set up a projector on one side of the cafeteria. Jules was sure that she saw this boy at the party on friday.

"Well, that's cute." Mac smiled at Rue with an i-know-there's-more smile, causing Rue to clear her throat nervously.

"Uh yeah, what did you do on the weekend?" Rue wasn't shy or something, but after Jules downplayed their togetherness, she didn't want to give the impression that they were anything more than just hanging out.

The brunette was about to answer when Kat sat down next to Mac. "Hey bitches" She hugged Mac and smiled happily at the other two.

"Look who we have here, miss I-lost-my-V-Card-at-Mckay's-Party." Mac laughed as she let go of Kat.
