I ended spend the night with Jules's after the party.
Mac and I met her in front of McKay's and after she thanked Mac she helpedme with her. I don'tknow what kind of coke she took, but whatever it was, it must have been really good 'cause her mood was euphoric.
Whatever.
Jules and i brought her sorry ass home 'cause even though Mac was convinced she could still drive, i wouldn't let her 'cause bitch was higher than the fucking Mount Everest.
After that we went to Jules house. I patched Jules' arm, and then we got high together. We laid side by side on her bed and stared at the ceiling. Lofi music plays softly in the background, Led lights illuminated the room. It could have been nice if the blonde hadn'traved about Mac half the time.
I love Mac and all but sometimes i hated how she captivated everyone without even trying.
"Did you see how she faced that guy? Wait, what was his name again?" Jules asked excitedly.
"Nate." Rue murmured while wishing the blonde would finally shut up about the Mac-and-Nate-incident.
"Oh right, asshole would suit him better." Jules mused before she continued her rambling. "But it was so cool when Mac put him in his place. Can't believe they dated. I mean Nate looks good- purely optical but he's definitely out of Mac's league. She's so.. so.. sexy."
Rue rolled her eyes in annoyance. Yeah fuck, those were exactly her thoughts about her best friend and that's why she didn't want to hear those words from another person. Especially not from Jules. Rue kinda liked the blonde. She liked how she dressed and she liked her voice.
Rue knew Mac would never return her feelings, even if the brunette didn't identify herself as 100% straight since she wasn't a big fan of putting a label on sexuality. Besides, Mac had little make out session's with girls - including Rue - before and after she dated Nate. But none of that would change the fact that Mac will never have romantic feelings for Rue.
The only consolation is that Rue also knew that her best friend would never have romantic feelings for anyone. She don't do relationships.
Unfortunately, Rue's joy about that thought didn't last very long.
