Poem 034: Another Paradise

︎︎Ceaseless roundabout,

Anxiously cogitate without a doubt,

Drenched with emotion yet flout(s),

Voiceless, she shout(s).

Her lips curled up in disdain,

Dull emotions are too much for her to feel pain,

Recollecting how his callous hands felt like a chain,

Trying to break free goes in vain.

Seizing her torn dress,

Her stained body underneath, recalling how she suppress(ed),

Weep as she sees herself less,

Wanting to run and end this mess.

Emotions repressed as she's afraid,

She tried relying on her bearer for aid,

Yet berates and, to her dismay, degráde(s),

Súcking her breath, as boxed-up emotions cascade(s).

Her eyes landed on the rood in sight,

Enlightening her to fight,

Yet she knows she's on her last legs on this site,

She conceives when she sees the light.

Fixes everything, then smiles, ponders it should suffice,

Leaving everything behind must be the sacrifice,

For her to claim her price,

To be in another paradise.
