Chapter 60

At the party,

Yunlan again noticed that person standing in the corner of the room. He looked at him and found something strange about him as he couldn't help himself and start walking towards him to talk to him..... But zhao xinchi stop him,"come here son....! meet some important person......" Zhao xinchi said and took yunlan away with him as he is still looking at that man, not averting his eyes......as that man just sipping his drink thinking something in his mind.

"Gentlemen...! Meet my son, Chief yunlan....." zhao xinchi introduce yunlan to some men proudly......as yunlan shake hand with them. "I hope you are not here to catch us....?" one of them said jokingly while shaking hand with yunlan. yunlan smile at him,"It depends......!" He reply and also start laughing....

"Yunlan...! These three are my partner....and soon they will going to be yours partner to....They help me export all my illegal weapons to other countries.....with your help we can spread our business more....." zhao xinchi said seriously as they all nod to yunlan agreeing to what xinchi have said.

"Of course.....! Here (grabbing some wine glass ) to my new future....I mean........our future" yunlan said and smirk at them while toasting to them as they all raised their glasses in response. Yunlan gulped down the wine and excuse himself.

"Are you sure about that xinchi...? Looks like we are all playing a deadly game here....." one of them asked from xinchi as soon as yunlan leave. "What do you mean....?" xinchi asked. "Don't fool yourself.....look at him and tell us you fully trust him....!" Other member asked, as xinchi looked at yunlan who walked near the bar to get himself another drink....

He took a deep breath,"If he divert his path......i will divert his destiny......don't worry about him....." xinchi said and also leave from there. "We must be careful......A cop is a cop at the end of the day no matter where he is......" they all agreed to each other and moved away from the dance floor as the dancers start performing.........

At bar,

Yunlan gulped down the third drink as his blood boil seeing every single criminal here in front of him. "I want to kill each one of them with my hands......!" yunlan mumbled while drinking as he turn back to see the dance performance. 

"I never thought that you will here like this one day...." someone sit next to zhao yunlan also admiring the dance performance while drinking.....yunlan smirk and didn't even looked at that man. Looks like he already knew about this......"It's hard to talk to you....." yunlan said sipping his drink. It was that man whom yunlan wanted to talk before from the meeting room and following him.

"Nothing hard to get for you....chief zhao..." that man said coldly. "why it feels like you don't belong here....?" yunlan said finally turning towards him and looking at him from head to toe....and frown. "Have we met before....? what's your name...?" yunlan asked suspecting something wrong with this person.

"I will tell you everything.....! Meet me tomorrow....!" that person said and walked away. "where...? Hey...." Yunlan asked in confusion as his phone beep and he got the location where to meet that person. "Smart....!" Yunlan mumbled and smirked........as he got a blank message from chu. He immedieatly understand that it's about shen wei.....His face became pale all of a sudden and he walked inside the washroom...

After checking that he is all alone he dialled chu number..."I thought you never understand that...." chu said with his grumpy voice. "Don't forget....I am a cop....." yunlan said. "well.....technically not anymore...." chu said. "How's shen wei...? Is he awake yet...?" Yunlan ignored what chu said as he wanted to know about his wei well being.

"He is okay and sleeping now......I have some internal news....your higher authorities are trying to suspend you....i have no idea what is the reason...but they will act soon....." Chu said and yunlan thought deeply.

"Why would they do that......They must have something solid to suspend me....." yunlan said as he felt someone is coming inside, he had to cut the call and start washing his hands trying to pretend that he just used the washroom.....Some other men came to use the washroom. They greet yunlan and went to their business. Zhao also nod at them and walked out......As they all looked back at yunlan weirdly......

After the party yunlan went back to his room as he is feeling dizzy and fall on the bed as soon as he reached inside his room. He have drinking a lot........! But on the other hand zhao xinchi is still awake and sitting on the chair near the window looking outside in the dark.......

"We can't trust him boss...! He probably talking to someone in the bathroom. We can't just trust him with all this...." Zhao xinchi men said as he alerted his men to stay on alert and watch over zhao yunlan where ever he goes........zhao xinchi slammed his fist on the table and walked near the window..."Looks like storm is coming we should protect our- self....!"

At Chu house,

Shen wei got startled by the window slamming due to storm as he blinked his eyes twice to focused and looked outside....He looked here and there for chu, but chu is already left. Shen wei slowly moved his body as his ribs are aching badly. He hold his breath and stood up exhaling the air.....And walked slowly towards the window to close it.......

He looked outside at the dark and closed the window, as rain start pouring from the sky. And the thunderstorm making this night more wild and dark.....

"Ah lan.....! I hope you are okay......!" Shen wei mumbled and walked back, he hissed a little while sitting back and start thinking something.......as he looked outside from the window...."No...! This isn't right....! What if zhao xinchi knew that yunlan is betraying him. And he didn't even kill me......? No.....i won't let him hurt yunlan.....! I should do something......! i must help yunlan...." Shen wei thought and looked at the time.......It's 2 : 00 a.m.
