Lilly's POV

I stared at Jason as he stared at me. Silence filled the room.

A few minutes later, Jason said,"Hey."

"Hi." I whispered.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, walking towards me.

"Better." I mumbled, looking around the room, waiting for a new conversation to leap into my mind.

Jason was about to say something when the door opened and a nurse walked in, smiling at me.

The nurse had brown hair in a bun and she was wheeling in a trolley filled with all sorts of medicines and syringes.

"Hello Lilly. Mister..?" She asked looking at Jason.

"Hunt. I mean, my name is Jason Hunt."

"Nice to meet you Jason. I'm nurse Kelly." She said, adressing both of us.

She turned to Jason, "I need to run a few blood tests on Lilly's blood. Can you please wait outside for about ten minutes?"

"Yeah,sure." He said smiling.

As soon as he was gone, the nurse turned to me.

"Are you feeling any pain today?"

"My head hearts, I guess that's from falling over and my thighs hurt from the wounds." I shuddered as I thought about the memories.

"Ok. That is expected. I'm going to put this needle into your arm and take some blood. Then, I will put a tube into your arm. The tube will supply you with plenty of fluids. Have you got any questions?"

"How long have i been unconscious for?"

"Around fifteen hours. Are you ready?"

I nodded and shut my eyes.

The needle dug into my arm. After about ten seconds, I opened my eyes to see that the needle was gone and a tube was there instead, pumping some sort of fluid into me. I didn't even feel it.

The nurse was putting my blood into a tube.

"What is the point of taking my blood?"

"This test will tell me if you have any infections from your wounds." She said, still smiling.

She, quickly checked my bandages on my legs.

"Everything is clean. Your wounds are started to cover up. The stitches have done their job. I don't think you have to stay here any longer."

"Thank you."

"It's okay. Do you want me to send Jason back in?" She asked, heading to the door.

I didn't know if I wanted him here. Would he judge me? Did he think I was weak? Did I even like him?

"Yes please." I said, not knowing why.

She left. After a few minutes, the door opened. I looked up to see Jason who was clutching his shoulder. He was holding a young boy who had a puffy red face. They were followed by two people who looked like his parents.

What happened?

Jason's POV

I left the room to see my Dad, Mum and Leo down the corridor.

"Jay Jay!!!" Leo screams down the corridor, causing Mum and Dad to jump, along with six nurses, two doctors and three patients.

He ran down the corridor to me but when he reached me, he tripped over his foot. I dived and caught him, hitting my shoulder on the floor. I winced in pain, trying not to show Leo I was in pain. He laughed and smiled at me.

"Jay Jay, wwwhat are you dwoing on the flwoor?" He asked still laughing.

"Well buddy, I stopped you from falling and hurting yourself." I replied standing up, putting Leo down.

My shoulder made a cracking noise as I stretched it, causing me to grunt in pain.

"Sir, are you okay?" A nurse asked, lightly putting her hand on my shoulder.

"I don't think so. My shoulder....." I started talking but my parents came over before I could explain.

"Leo, sweetheart. Don't shout at a hospital." Mum came over and picked him up.

"Okway, what's wrong with Jay Jay?" He asked looking at me.

"My shoulder." I muttered.

"I hwurt you didn't I? I'm sowy Jay Jay, I didn't mwean it." Leo cried.

"Hey, buddy. Shhhhhh. I'm okay. It's fine." I reassured him.

The nurse, who had been checking my shoulder said,"You shoulder is fine, there will be a bruise by tomorrow."

"Thank you." She left.

"Son, why aren't you in with Lilly?" Dad asked.

"She's having some blood tests. I'm not allowed in there while it happens."

"I see. Are you okay about it all?" He asked me.

"I don't know, all I know is that I will make sure her dad and uncle don't see the outside of a prison cell for years. I promise her that." I said, looking at my dad.

"Thats a big promise son. I hope you can stick to it."

"I will."

The door to her room opened as the nurse appeared.

"You can go in now. Please keep the noise down. She does need to rest." The nurse said, looking at Leo who was sobbing quietly.

"We will." Mum said sternly.

We will went in to see Lilly looking at us.

"Helwo." Leo said.

"Hello, little guy. What's your name?"

"Leo."

"Hello Leo, my name's Lilly."

"I know who you are. Jay Jay talks about you all the time."

"Haha haha, Leo, you do make me laugh sometimes." I said,fake laughing. I could feel my face turning bright red and I knew Lilly noticed.

"Jay Jay, huh?" She smirked at me.

I scowled

"Hello dear. I'm Jason's mum but call me Liz. He has told me so much about you. I can't believe you have had to go through that on your own."

"And I'm Jason's Dad, call me Roger. You are so strong. You look just like your Mother."

"You knew my mother?"She asked, shocked.

"Yes, I went to school with her. Your such a beautiful girl."

"Thank you." She smiled and looked over at me.

She spent the rest of the day happily chatting with me and my family.

That was when I knew I would keep her safe. I would keep her safe from her abusive family.

That was when I knew, I loved her.
