Tyler or for those who can't see, Tyler PoseyLilly's POV
Drew, Peter and I opened the back door to the garden and stepped out.
Flat football's and basketballs littered the garden along with tools like rakes.
I saw a small shed in the corner of the garden with a mini dart board hanging loosely from a pin. Darts were scattered along the board in a messy pattern.
I looked over to the gardening patch and saw the twins.
I saw a grumpy Jack digging up weeds with a shovel and James watching him, attempting to stifle a laugh.
"What are you doing James? You're meant to be helping." Katlin scolded as she walked through the back door moments after us. I watched as she hung washing up on the line, which stretched from the small shed which was situated in the corner of the garden to a small clip on the brick walls of the house.
"We had a bet that who ever lost at darts would have to pick out the weeds. I won, obviously, and Jack lost." James explained, smirking.
Drew and Peter giggled while Katlin sighed.
"Um, Katlin? Would it be ok if the boys stop working for a bit so we can play a game of hide and seek?" I asked.
"I don't see why not." She replied smiling.
She turned to the boys.
"But, I want this garden cleared of any weeds and leaves before dinner. Understood?" She said to the boys, heading back inside.
"Yeah. Consider it done." James called back.
"Right, who wants to be the seeker?" James asked.
"I will. It's probably easier for me." I said.
"Brilliant. Count to forty and don't peek." Jack said.
"Ok." I closed my eyes and started counting out loud. Little did I know the twins had a different idea.
"5, 6, 7, 8 ,9.."
I heard whispers form across the garden and the crunch of leaves being stood on or picked up.
What were they doing, I thought.
Nonetheless,I carried on counting.
"31, 32, 33, 34, 3....." I was interrupted as I felt a pile of drop onto me.
I opened my eyes and turned around to see the four boys laughing.
"Really? Are you really that immature?" I shook my head attempting to remove the leaves from my hair.
I looked into the reflection of the back door and saw that my chocolate brown hair looked as though it had been dip dyed light green and yellow.
"Do you really want us to answer that?" Drew said, giggling uncontrollably.
I faced them again and stuck my tongue out at them.
"Now who's mature?" Jack said smirking.
"That's it." I reached down to the ground and grabbed a pile of leaves and chucked them over the four boys heads.
Suddenly, Peter yelled, "Leaf War!!!"
That's how we spent the rest of the day.
After devouring a delicious homemade Roast Chicken and receiving glares from both Peaches and Violet, I went to my room and checked my phone to see five missed calls from Jason.
Oops.
I called him back.
"Hello." I heard his grumpy voice and smiled.
"Hey Jason. Sorry I didn't answer my phone earlier. Are you okay?"
"It's okay and yeah, I'm fine. How are your legs? Getting better?"
"Yeah, I can almost walk without my crutches now. The wonders of stiches." He laughed.
"Yeah."
"How is the house checking going?" I was desperate to know if I was allowed to move there.
"Not bad. Although there was an incident with a piece of Lego. I won't go into it. Let's just say Leo needs to pick up his toys when he's finished playing with them.
I giggled.
"I have to go now. I have a 5,000 word assessment due tomorrow. Your lucky you don't have to go to school at the moment."
"Not really, I reckon I'm going to be very bored tomorrow, with everyone at school."
"Maybe I could see you tomorrow then?"
"What about your assessment and school?"
"I'll just play the 'I'm not very well card.' Mum always falls for it."
"Ok. I will ask Katlin tomorrow."
"I love you Lilly."
"I love you too Jason."
"Bye."
The line went dead.
That night I went to sleep smiling.
