It was only a day later that it started to seem as though everything was falling apart.

In the morning, Peter and I practiced fighting. We hadn't been doing that as much because of- everything, I suppose.

It was relaxing, really, but I could tell Peter wasn't feeling the same way.

"What's wrong?" I asked. He sighed.

"I don't know..." he began. "It feels as though this whole thing is coming to an end. But this time-" he looked at me. "This time the end doesn't seem so appealing. I just have a bad feeling about this and-"

"Hey," I stepped forward, shushing him. I placed my hands on the side of his face. "What is there to worry about? We are going to be fine, I promise."

He leaned down and kissed me. "I just don't want to lose this island, these boys... They're all I have."

I looked down. "I know."

His forehead rested against mine. "I'd do anything for this island, you know."

"I know."

I looked up at him and leaned when Felix interrupted us- again.

"They are almost here," he said.

"Well then I have some business to attend to- with Henry." Peter said. "And I'll see you when we're all safe again." He kissed me quickly and walked away.

~~~
After Peter and Henry had left, I stayed to watch the boys and Wendy. The boys were sitting around the fire as night slowly crept over the island.
I suddenly felt as though something was wrong.
I was laying down on Wendy's cage, but I quickly sat up.
"Something's wrong...." I thought out loud. I hopped off the cage and peeked around the trees.
Through the bushes, I thought I saw a figure, at the other side of the camp. As I was about to step out to check, all the boys fell over, as though they'd been all knocked out at once. I gasped. Ducking behind the trees, I glared at Wendy.
"What? What's going on?" She cried.
"Shush!" I whispered. "Say anything and I'll make sure you never leave this island alive."
She gulped and looked down at her hands. I heard their voices and confusion as they looked around for Henry. I pressed my back against a tree, and my breaths were light.
"Help!" Wendy cried. I glared at her, reaching for my sword. Looking around, I realized I'd left it on a tree stump in the camp. The group found us.
"There's a girl here!" Cried the blonde one.
"You again," The pirate scoffed.
I gulped, eying my sword, twenty feet away. I'm nearly helpless without it.
I jumped up to lunge for it. A man came out from behind the bush and hit me with the hilt of his sword as I tried to move past.
Everything went black.
~~~

I woke up all tied up. This is possibly the worst thing that could've happened.

The pirate and Tinker Bell were tying all the the boys up. Tinker Bell saw me and smirked.

"Looks like I can keep you under control, hm?" She said with a smug look.

"Oh, shut it. You know you're going to fail." I sighed.

They turned away to discuss something- idiots.

I tried to crawl away, but the Pirate caught me.

"Not so fast, Lost Girl." He grabbed the ropes that were wrapped around my chest and back and he dragged me along the dirt. I tried to fight it but the ropes were too tight. "Let me go!" I cried.

They shoved me next to Felix. He was still unconscious.

"Wake up!" I whispered. Nothing. I slammed my head against his chest. "Wake. UP!"

He awoke, coughing.

"What-" He looked around. "What is going on-" Switching his gaze to me, he asked through gritted teeth- "What did you do?"

"Oh, save it." I sighed. "I didn't do anything- I was trying to help, which is more than you can say."

"Quiet, I'm trying to listen," he growled. Just as he finished his sentence, the group returned with Henry- who looked unconscious.

I couldn't even swallow- he just looked so... empty.

He reminded me of the kids from the foster home. I blinked tears away.

This is the price- I forced myself to remember. This is the price I have to pay for my home.

"How are we going to get out of here?" Felix asked.

"I don't-" I stopped myself. "My shadow!"

"You never removed your shadow," Felix said.

"Well, you never saw me do it, but Peter made me do it one morning, pretty recently. I guess this is where it'll pay off." I took a deep breath and whistled, loud and clear.

"What was that?" The woman with the brown hair to her shoulders demanded.

"What was what?" I laughed. My shadow flew down and grabbed my ropes, ripping them off my body. "I'll come back and get you, don't worry," I told Felix as I shot into the air.
