Thirty-two

Charley stood in the bathroom as she stood doing her make up as she got ready for work. She knew that she was tired and finding things hard but she was only half way through her pregnancy and it wasn't easy. Charley looked to see Tom and smiled

"You look tired" Tom said as Charley smiled

"I am. I didn't sleep that well. It's hard with the twins. But it will be okay I just need you to try. I know it's hard but I want you to try with my mum and try and get along with her. I know how She is and how she is hard work but she is my mum and these are her grandchildren. I just want for things to be okay" Charley said

Tom looked to her and smiled. He knew how she was right and how as much as he and Rachel had their difficulties that this wasn't fair in Charley and how they had to try and get in with her

"I will try okay for you and for the babies I will try but so does she. She doesn't get to make comments and say how I am not good enough for you. I know all that has happened with us in the past and I hate it. I just want it to be a good man for you and a good father and yeah I have made mistakes but so has she and she can't throw that in my face" Tom said as Charley looked to him and smiled

"I know. I will sort it i promise" Charley said as Tom looked to her and smiled. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer as he leant in and kissed her

Charley kissed him back and smiled knowing how much she wanted to make it work

Charley got to work and smiled as she saw Hannah as she stood in the hallways. She looked to her sister and smiled

"Hey are you okay" Hannah asked as Charley looked to her and smiled

"I'm okay I was going to ask you the same thing. How are things at home. Is it any better with mum" Charley asked as Hannah smiled

"It's the same really but I can't deal with it. How are you doing I mean your pregnant with twins and it can't be easy" Hannah said as Charley looked to her and smiled

"You could say that. I'm just tried. I know it's not going to get any easier but you have Tom and hd loves you and he is great" Hannah said as Charley looked to her and smiled

"Yeah he is" Charley said. Charley knew how hard her pregnancy was

Charley walked into Rachel's office as Rachel looked fi her and smiled

"How are you love" Rachel asked

"I'm okay look I need to talk to you over things. I know that you and Tom have some issues and I know that you don't like him but he is the father of the babies: we are together and try have to be nicer and treat him with respect if you want to be in the life's of this babies. He's agreed to try and I want you to do the same"

"Tom doesn't like me love"

"He does. Look I know it's hard but you have to be nice as Tom is in my life for good don't make me choice between the two of you" Charley said before she walked off as Rachel linked after her and sighed

But would Charley actually be forced to choose?
