Chap 3

Third POV

Devin and Callie just started at each other neither said a word. Callie went to speak and said, " umm Mr. Nix are you ok." She said with a smile, but she was concerned as well. Devin just couldn't seem to find the words, but he quickly snapped out of it when he heard the beauty in front of him speak, he smiled at her words and said, "my apologies, sorry". He proceeded to welcome her to the company and told her what he expected of her as well. After he briefed her Callie left her bosses office very hot and bothered, she chalked it up to hormones.

Devin sat in his office and thought about what had just happened. Never in all his years had he found himself so attracted to a woman, there was something about her and he was determined to find out what it was and become everything she needed and wanted.

Callie went back to her office confused. 

She didn't understand how she could be so attracted to a man. Her boss was hands down the finest man she had ever laid eyes on, she felt that there was something about him that made her want to know more. She found herself sitting in front of him while he was speaking to her crossing her thighs because of the dying ache she felt in her core. 

Callie was always very sexual and open with it to the point that her ex-Andrew would tap out on her. He once told her she was sex crazed and said she needed to seek help for it, she laughed at the memory thinking to herself funny how a cousin fucker thinks that I have a problem.

It was now lunch and Callie heard a knock at her door she advised the other person on the other side of the door to come in. She was then met with her boss and a bright smile on his face, Devin then spoke saying "hey Callie I wanted to see if you would like to have lunch with me"? Callie smiled and nodded gathering her purse and jacket, this made Devin frown. While Devin was all for women empowerment, he felt that at times women were forced to flex and show a side of them that they didn't necessarily have to. He quickly schooled his expression and smiled holding the door for Callie.

They ended up walking to a near diner by the office. Callie and Devin got to know each other better, but it made Callie wonder if he did this kind of thing with all his employees or just the women. Devin noticed that Callie became quiet and knew what she was thinking. He placed his drink down and said" I know what you're thinking and no I don't do this with everyone and also, why I'm doing this with you Caille you cannot deny there is something here between you and I"

Callie nodded aware that she felt the same way, but she had one thing that would make situation complicated.

She then sighed loudly taking a drink of water getting ready to tell her boss her truth since he told her his or show she thought.

'Devin, I do feel what you are feeling but I have to tell you that I'm pregnant."
