Scene 1 - Psychological Disquiet, Part 2
3:00, December 20 of 2033. Xander eats his lunch of orange chicken and a side of pork stew with vegetables accompanied by 3 kiddie boxes of apple juice.
A lot has changed within a week. Since then, Josie has also taken an exemption from work due to 'psychological issues' with Xander's consent, and day offs have been enacted and instilled. In very specific days, which just so happens to be this day.
Xander eats on his large coffee table as he watches TV news.
Cable News:
Tom Blue: Good afternoon America, this is Tom Blue, and you're watching the Los Angeles News Network. Our top story: Egypt makes a stunning discovery as Howard Brocklee, British anthropologist and alumnus of Yale New College for the Arts and Sciences, unravels a deposit of fish bones, complete with spines and heads, underneath a large excavation of sand which was originally intended - for it to be - as a site for trying to discover the once-forgotten tomb of two of Ankhenaten's children, Yankmenaten, and Yeetmenaten. Historians postulate that the bones might be a collection of family bones - a dynasty of sorts, with the oldest predating the Bronze Age, and the youngest from the Time of Christ.
Howard Brocklee calls it 'an opportunity of a lifetime', and suggests that 'this is the top of the tower, it never goes any higher than this as an archaeologist.'
In other news, convicted felon and sex offender Matthew Kravitz-Jenssens is set to be tried before a federal court, with people clamoring for a death sentence for the first time in 70 years. One of his victims, Jane Whittaker, was married to Jenssens before breaking it off, which prompted Jenssens to pierce her neck while going to sleep. Another one of his victims, dancer and model Martin Velasquez, was tied up by Jenssens with intent to sexually assault, with Jenssens groping Velasquez inappropriately while recollecting about his second victim, Robert Full, whom was found in his own home tied to a ceiling fan, half-naked and with more than 20 stab wounds, with Jenssens recalling it as 'foreplay'.
Jenssens had pleaded guilty, but then pleaded not guilty before pleading to not standing before trial regarding himself to be mentally unfit or, in his own words, 'not entirely himself'.
The court - after much deliberation - ultimately decided that they would label him 'unwell', and put him inside a maximum security prison where he would, as stated by the authorities that work there, 'get himself up and get back in the race'.
For more, we now go to our field correspondent Sharon Keller. Sharon?
Sharon Keller: Well, Tom, I'm currently at California State Prison where a large group of people are protesting the court's decision, urging the guards or other prison staff to release him and get him, and 'bring him to justice'.
Sir, do you think that the court's decision was fair and justified?
Person 1: Well, I just don't know what to think about this. You got a man who is - by my standards or might as well could be - absolutely mentally ill, who has committed murder, rape, attempted rape, and an attempted framejob on his own brother; I mean who does that? This is a representation of America's flaws, and I mean, this is a representation of the American Nazi far-right, who are trying deliberately so hard to keep America from progressing by condoning such vile acts, and this is also a foreseeable outcome of an America without Marxism, with this perpetual encouragement of exploitation so great that even better-off people are practicing it, I mean this is just horrible. As a man who supports the LGBTQ community, this person is going out of his way by attacking it from the inside out, and that's what I think. And when it comes down to it, this is what happens to someone when they don't practice, keep or adhere to a natural vegan diet. As an animal rights activist who came out to their family as an Omnist pagan, I've been warning people about this sort of event for a considerable amount of time now, which the Nazi, child-slaving, womanizing, boy-raping, Christian hypocritical alt-right have been promulgating and have considered an ideal, which is anything but that. And they all make the talking point that if we don't praise Trump as Jesus, that I could go to Hell, um, excuse me, but I don't really believe in a hell. And they also make continuously the talking point that maybe he was just violent or mentally ill. But um, excuse me, violence is mental illness. As a pacifist who has marched with the Black Rights Matter rallies in the past and in the present against the KKK, I could make the point of or talk about or say that violence is an unnatural part of the human behavior, and if you have some sort of violent tendencies, then you should try to curb or cope with it, naturally preferably, and try not to reel in some people who don't want to be involved in the first place in the process. As an AntiFa member, I believe that Trump is to blame for all the violence, and especially the crazy promotion of violence that he very much engages with all the time and especially during the Capitol riots.
Sharon: Thank you for giving us your opinion sir.
