The act of love.

What comes to mind when you hear, "the act of love"?
I could tell you what you might think it is, or what it could be, but there are so many different ways to show that you love someone.
"Call me when you get home, so I know that you're safe."
"Please be safe"
Or when they give you a book with highlighted quotes, and a different colored highlighter to add to them.
When they stop by your house out of the blue.
When they just want to spend time with you.

I was driving down the highway and saw a girl asleep in the car, with a boy driving, most likely her boyfriend. But he was holding her hand and had a look on his face like he was the luckiest guy in the world. He held up her hand and kissed it, even though she was sleeping.

That's an act of love if I don't say so myself.
