We pulled up to the house and got out of the car. When we got into the house, there was a note from our parents on the refrigerator which read:
Alice and Monroe, we went out to run some errands. We'll be back around 8:00.
Love you girls!
- Mom & Dad"Looks like we have this place to ourselves." I said to Monroe.
"Yep. I'll be upstairs in my room if you need me." Monroe walked up the steps leaving me downstairs in our large home.
I walked over to the den to watch that episode of Modern Family. When the episode was over, I caught up on a few other TV series that I liked to watch.
When I was finished catching up , the time was 7:00. I got up from the couch and walked up the steps to my room to take a short nap.
I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing non stop. I rubbed my eyes and unlocked my phone. There were ten unread text messages from Bailey:
Bailey: Alice the party starts at 11
Bailey: Meet me at the park around 10:30
Bailey: Tell your parents that you are going out for a walk
Bailey: Your curfew is 11 right?
Bailey: Just Don't get caught sneaking out
Bailey: Have you ever snuck out before?
Bailey: Are you ignoring me?
Bailey: C'mon Alice you told me you were going with me
Bailey: Don't chicken out now
Bailey: C'mon have fun be a teenager for onceI texted back:
Me: Yes my curfew is 11 and this is my first time sneaking out. I'll meet you at the park and go to the party with you. Just so you can't call me a chicken for chickening out. I'm going to be in so much trouble if my parents find out. And its going to be all your fault too.
Bailey: Awe. Don't be like that. You'll like it. I guarantee. You might want to Start getting ready. It's like 9:47.
Me: Alright. See you at the park then.
Bailey: K. See you soon.I put my phone down and went to my closet to see what I would wear. I put on my black crop top with the words "Boss Life" in white font and my short, white, high-waisted shorts. I redid my makeup and put my hair into a high bun. I added my silver heart necklace and bangles to my outfit as well. I also put earrings in all four of my piercings. I had one piercing on each ear lobe , one in the cartilage of my left ear, and my belly button. I looked over my outfit in the mirror while I tied my black and white converse and decided I was ready.
The time was 10:23. I put my black crossbody purse on and texted Bailey I was on my way, and then put my phone in my purse. I opened my large window and climbed out of my room and onto the patio roof. From there, I quietly lowered myself onto the patio table directly underneath the roof. I hopped off the table and onto even ground. I started on my walk to the park which was a few blocks away-where Bailey and I first met-alone. In the dark.
I got to the park a little after 10:30. Bailey was sitting on the swing set, texting someone on her phone. She heard me and looked up, "You're here, great! Our ride will be here in like 3 minutes."
"Okay, who?"
"Creston and Gray. They're seniors."
"Oh, well okay then." I sat in the swing next to Bailey's and we waited there. Not saying a word to each other.
A red Ford pulled up in front of the park. Two hot guys were in the passenger and driver's seat. Bailey and I exchanged smiles.
"C'mon, this is going to be fun." She got up and started towards the car. I trailed behind her. When we got in, Bailey kissed the boy in the passenger seat and said, "Alice, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, Gray. And this is his best friend Creston." she concluded, gesturing to the other hot guy in the driver's seat. Creston looked at me in the rear view mirror and winked. I was sitting behind Creston, and Bailey was sitting behind Gray.
I blushed a little and finally said, "Hey guys." I looked at Bailey with a shocked, wide-eyed face, silently telling her that she never told me she had a hot senior boyfriend named Gray who had a hot best friend named Creston. She mouthed "Sorry!" and we silently drove to Nero's house.
