"Today's the day you've all been waiting for! The two finalists of each group will be clashing for the prize of a million duel points as well as the honour of dueling one of the strongest 5 duelists!" Marie announced as both Alex and Elise took their place in the dueling ring.

The duel was just about to begin. Alex couldn't help being nervous. He wondered if Elise was too, though even if she was, she really wasn't showing it. Her expression remained blank and no part of her showed any kind of trembling. Alex figured she must be very confident to win and steeled himself for the duel.

"Now put in your predictions everyone! This is the last time you'll get to do so!" Marie shouted out.

The numbers whirled on the screens above the ring. Finally stopping, Marie gasped, "Unbelievable! For the first time in this tournament, someone has actually broken Elise's curse! With a 1% chance riding on him, Alex is the only person to have people believe that he can beat our undefeated duelist, Elise!"

Alex grinned as he recalled what his friend's reminded him of yesterday.

Emma walked into the room with a gloomy face.

"Man, I really blew it." she sighed as she sat down next to Alex on the couch.

"Nah, it was a good match at least." Dan comforted her from across the room as he looked up at a card he held up high in the air where Ray struggled to reach.

"Are you two still fighting over that? My duel didn't end that fast, right?"

"Dan's just being a jerk." Ray jumped to grab the card but came up short.

She took a step back and slammed her foot into Dan's shin. Dan recoiled in pain and fell to one knee. Using that chance, Ray quickly snatched the card in Dan's hand.

"Ha!" Ray walked towards Emma and Alex, "See, there was no fight. Here you go."

Ray handed back Alex his card. He looked down at it, to see Super HERO Starlight Striker looking back at him.

"And you called me a jerk..." Dan muttered as he rubbed the spot on his leg where Ray kicked him.

Alex put his HERO back in his deck with a worried look on his face.

"You'll beat her. Hopefully just as fast as she did me." Emma reassured Alex.

"Thanks. I've still got some HEROs that can put up good fights in my deck I haven't shown yet, so we'll see how it goes." Alex replied, "I'm still feeling a bit nervous though."

"Well you've got until tomorrow to get over that." Dan hobbled back to the group, "Plus, we all will be able to vote for you during the prediction round."

"There's only the 3 of us. Won't we come up short?" Emma asked.

"Other than Ray, we should have some people Alex has charmed into voting for him."

"Hey!" Ray bapped Dan in the arm, "You're going to be really sad when I end up being taller than you."

"You guys are getting way off point." Emma scolded them, "Listen, Alex. We've got your back. I believe in you, always have. So make sure you win."

"Yeah, you better. You beat me, so you're obligated to now!" Ray encouraged Alex.

"You already beat Raine, so there's really not much for me to say. Buuut... if you win this whole thing, that'll definitely make him angry, so you already know you have to." Dan grinned.

Burning their hopes into his heart, Alex smiled, "Of course I'll win."
