The five girls found themselves outside of the palace stable of England. Their clothes has been changed to those of English noble women, except Lunden, who wore her own clothes. They went into the stables to get horses. Averia chose a black Arabian stallion, Myah chose a gray Russian Trotter mare, Gracina got a white Egyptian Arabian, and Sarah chose a white Maremmano mare. The odd thing was, Lunden didn't remember any of those horses. Only her own, a Thoroughbred named Eleanor. But there they were. Secretly, Lunden suspected that they had come especially for the four other girls. Why else would the spirited horses of the desert come together with that of the snowy North and of Roman royalty? In an English stable? As they rode out, the girls all fit the part of English nobles. But no one could deny the rare beauty of the horses they rode. When they neared Lady Emilia's castle, they saw a lady in the gardens, who turned out to be Lady Alexandra. The Royals slipped quietly off their horses, who remained silent as the group edged towards Alexandra. Averia jumped the hedge of the garden and began walking around, acting as if she had been there the whole time. Alexandra noticed Averia after a moment. "Hello. I don't believe I've had the pleasure..?" Averia smiled, and Alexandra was scared. Then Averia simply said "Come with me." And Alexandra followed. She may later have questioned why she did so, but the truth was, she couldn't help it. Curiosity and the fact that she had been obeying all her life played against her. So it was that she found herself inside the gardener's shack, with a hand not her own clapped over her mouth. Once assured no harm would come to her if she would not call out or tell what had gone on there, she agreed to be silent and was released. Alexandra looked about with wild eyes. "What do you want from me?" Then from the shadows, Lunden emerged. Alexandra's eyes grew wider and more frightened as she bowed. Lunden began "I'm sorry we had to meet this way, Alexandra. But we've done this to protect you, so if someone should find out you spilled anything, you may claim that you were forced. Now, I've heard of unrest in this area, and I have a witness that says Emilia was involved. But I need another." Lunden looked at Alexandra, who was shaking slightly at the implications if Emilia was involved. "How does Emilia feel about my being Queen?" Alexandra looked away, only to be met with Myah's glare. She turned back to Lunden very quickly. "Milady, Emilia doesn't like you. But she would never try to dethrone you!" Lunden sighed. No second witness yet, and Alexandra was too scared to continue. "Very well. Go in peace." Lunden almost admired Alexandra for her loyalty for her sister. She may be a coward, but a brave one. Sarah spoke up in the silence. " We might as well consider that a warning. If her own sister is afraid of Emilia, then we had best step carefully."
-------Inside the castle of Emilia-----
Alexandra rushed in to her room. Breathing hard, she took a moment to compose herself before going in to her sister's chamber. Emilia was standing at a shelf, holding something up to a candle. "Alexandra? Come in. I've just discovered a nearly untraceable way to get rid of the Queen." She held up a vial of purple liquid. The vial was smoky from having been held up to the candle flame, but in it floated the unmistakable shape of a snake's head, venom still leaking from its fangs. Alexandra forced a smile. "You must be very proud, dear sister." But inside, the battle had begun. She knew what might happen if Emilia succeeded in killing the Queen. But was she willing to give the warning?
