Erica woke up and looked at her clock. It was 7 am, she had slept for about 10 hours. She went to get out of bed but something felt off. She felt damp. She looked down and realized she had wet the bed. Whether it be the stress of the break up or the extra Coca Cola, she ended up wetting the bed for the first time since she was 16. Right on cue, her mother, lacking the boundaries of a normal person, opened her door and walked in announcing she had made waffles. She then looked at the bed and yelled "Erica, what have you done? I knew I shouldn't have let you drink soda before bed! Go take a shower while I clean this up, I guess you'll get cold breakfast because you were too irresponsible to get up to pee."
Erica was so embarrassed, she did as she was told, showered and then ate breakfast. Her mother then announced she could watch TV for an hour but then they'd be heading to the store. Erica didn't see why she would have to go with, but after the events of this morning she wanted to avoid arguing as much as possible. When they were about to leave her mother said, "Erica, make sure you go to the bathroom before you leave." Erica once again bit her tongue and did as she was told, knowing if she argued her mother would bring up the bed wetting.
Shopping only took about 2 hours but Erica's mother asked if she had to use the bathroom probably about 5 times throughout the trip. While embarrassing, Erica just rolled with the comments. The rest of the day was uneventful, aside from her mother disallowing fluids after 7 o'clock. Erica watched Netflix for most of the day and fell asleep around 9.
