Wake up at six o'clock, get dressed and ready, nudge Fanny awake, let her climb me, go and eat a quick breakfast, and enter the computer room.

"Sal?"

After four hours of brain-numbing office work, I take a half-hour break to grab lunch.

"Indeedee?"

I take a plate and fill it with buttered bread, beans, plain pasta, and some leafy salad on the side. This world will have me walking around a lot when I'm off the job and have the money to do so, I need to start eating healthier earlier than later.

"Dit Salandit!"

After lunch, I return to the computer room and continue working until four in the afternoon, making it a nine-hour work day from Seven in the morning to Four o'clock.

It's basically a nine-to-five but with an extra hour.
And not from nine to five.

"Indeed?"

After finishing my work, I take an hour to run around the town. I make it to the bike stop and say hello to the Cyclizar that lives there before running back to the Hotel.

Getting back to my room, I take a quick shower to wash the smell off before I log on to the small computer I was given for personal use, spending my time working on recreating Cave Story.

It's a lot harder than it seems with me not knowing which application is best used, so I had to spend several hours researching coding software and gaming publishers.

It might take a few more months before I have something playable.

The original creator took five years using technology from the late 90s to the early 2000s, with me knowing what the final product will look like and having years of coding knowledge, I should have a final product in half a year.

"Salandit..."

And when the money starts rolling in from selling such a hit game, I would have the financial freedom to travel the world and catch shiny Pokemon along the way.

I will definitely go to Alola.

"Salandit!" I felt something slap my back.

"OW!" I yelled as I rolled over to look at whoever slapped me, spotting Fanny looking down at me as if I'm an idiot.

"Why is my starter such a toxic poison-type?" I whisper to myself.

Sadly I wasn't whispering quietly enough because Fanny proceeded to climb up my pants and into my shirt, poking her head out of the neck of my shirt while I'm still wearing it, making it look like I'm a single father who can't afford a stroller for his baby lizard princess.

"The things I do for love..." I despair comedically, making a reference that none but me will understand. I turn around with my princess in my shirt and head outside of my room to grab us both something to eat.

Twiddle, The Indeedee that's been making sure I do my job for the last few days joins us once I leave the room, He's been standing near the door-frame chatting with Fanny for who knows how long.

I wonder what They're speaking about.

It doesn't matter, All Twiddle really does during my work hours is check up on me every hour to see that I'm doing my job before he goes to take care of something else at the hotel.

Grabbing a few slices of bread, I start making sandwiches for me and the two 'mons.

A nice vegetable sandwich for myself and Twiddle, with lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes.

And something meatier for Fanny, which means either a few slices of Lechonk Pork or Magikarp slices and If I'm feeling fancy I'll give her Swanna liver.

And soon we all had our sandwiches, four vegetables for me and the Indeedee, two pork for the White Salandit.

And sitting down on the stools of what once must have been a bar for stayers at the hotel, we sat and enjoyed our lunch.

I'm so glad that it's the weekend and I don't have to work today or tommorow.

45-hour a week is a nightmare on the back, and apparently the Levincia gym is Open six days a week instead of five like the rest of the gyms.

"They're slave drivers over in that Electric Gym, huh guys?" I ask my two companions.

"Sal?" Fanny voices with a mouth full of mushed bread and chewed meat.

"Indee," My Bosses Pokemon answered instead, making it sound like he was agreeing with me even though I don't know what he was saying. Thankfully he swallowed his food before talking.

"Sal!" Yes, I'm looking at you.

.................

After finishing our light lunch and washing the dishes, that is to say that Twiddle and I washed while Fanny pretended to work, We exited the employee lounge and made our way outside.

"Indeedee," Twiddle said before waving at us and going in a separate direction, likely having been called over by his sister.

She's cute, his sister being Dee, the receptionist who span on her chair when I first arrived here at the Alfronda Battle Hotel. She's way less serious than her brother and acts way more childish.

Like spinning on a chair for example.

Pokemon are quirky like that.

"Landit!" Fanny slapped my back with her tail, already back in her iconic position on my waist, urging me to keep walking.

And so I do.

Alfronda isn't a big city. At least not in the scale of my previous world.

In the Pokemon world Scale, Alfronda is a pretty major city, being the fifth largest city in Paldea, overtaken by Zapapico, Medali, Cascarrafa, Mesagoza, and with the previously mentioned Levincia taking the first place.

And with how fast the population is rising, Porto Marinda is scheduled to surpass Alfronda in three years.

Do any of these trivia facts matter? Not really, I just need something to think about whilst walking aimlessly in the city.

And so I spend the rest of my afternoon simply walking aimlessly with a Salandit wrapped around my midsection.

For an end to my first week in this new world, not so bad.

It definitely could have been worse.
