Kia POV

Ma is still fighting to hold on but I don't know how much more fight she has. She is getting weaker and weaker, she sleeps most of the time and she barley eats or drinks. I don't think I've left her side in a few days. After breaking down in her arms I needed to stay with her. I couldn't let any moment pass. She has been a sleep for a few hours and I've been reading to her, one of her favourite books withering heights. She read this to me when I was a teenager and I have loved the book ever since.

Ma told me Chris came and saw her while I was sleeping and I found it sweet. He really still cared for her and I was happy they still had a lovely relationship. I haven't seen Chris for a few days, I've been too focused on Ma, I know Lisa keeps sending food, if she didn't we wouldn't eat. As I'm reading I feel myself nodding off, so I place the book down and curl up next to my mum, holding her hand and falling asleep to the sound of her breathing.

Chris POV

My Ma sent me with more food, I think she is stress cooking. Knowing this is the only thing she can do to help this family right now. As I walk in, mr Bennet is in his usual place.
"Hey Mr B"
"Hey Chris. More food?"
"Yeah. Ma is just trying to find some way to help"
"I know and we are so grateful truly"
I smile "how's is......"
Before I can finish I hear Kia cry out, both Mr B and I run up the stairs and kia is kneeling on the bed, cradling her mother to her, crying more then I have ever seen.

"Princess?"
"Daddy, she isn't breathing. Help! Please!"
He slowly goes around the bed and checks Mrs Bennet, he shakes his head and he start to cry. The tears flow down my cheeks, she was really gone.
"No daddy! Please! Please! Help her! I can't....please daddy!!!"
He cups Kia face and smiles sadly through his tears
"I'm sorry princess but she's gone"
I hear a creak behind me and see Kias brother, he too is crying. He walks in and stands next to his father and wraps his arms around him.

"No! No! Where is my phone? We need an ambulance!!!" She turns and sees me "Chris please call an ambulance please!!!!"
I walk towards her and hold her hand "baby she's gone"
"No!!! No!!! She isn't!!! She can't be!!  Please!!!!" She turns back to her mum and shakes her "mummy please wake up!!  Please!!! Mummy!!!" She is sobbing so much, her father and brother breaking down at her side. I have to do something. I walk towards Kia and lift her off the bed, she fights me, screaming and shouting but I have to take her away from here. I promised her mum I would look after her and that's what I'm going to do.

As I take her into her room, she is still fighting me.
"Let me go!!!!  Let me go!!!"
I sit down and cradle her on my lap, she tries to fight but eventually after a while she calms down, she clutches onto my jacket and buries her head into my neck. She is sobbing her heart out and I don't know what to say. My tears are still flowing, my heart breaking at the loss of an amazing woman and breaking because the woman I love is in so much pain.

"Kia, it's ok baby. Shhhhhh I got you"
She continues to cry and I just sit and hold her, I can still hear Mr Bennet and Her brother crying next door. Mrs B was the heart of this family and I don't know how they will cope without her.
