Confronting

Chris POV

It's been a couple of weeks since Kia woke up and I've been trying to see her as often as possible to make she sure is okay. She is holding onto grief, I know she is. She didn't get a chance to mourn her mum after the funeral and now I think she is a bit lost at what to do next. Today I have decided to surprise her, I'm off next week to the premier of the new fantastic four so I want to make the most of the time I have with her.

I walk into the Bennet house and Mr B is sat in the kitchen, he sees me and smiles.
"Hey Mr B"
"Hey Chris"
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just missing her more today I guess"
I nod "I miss her too. Mostly her smile whenever she saw me, she could always just make everything ok with that smile"
"One of the many reasons I fell in love with her"
"Is Kia upstairs?"
"Yeah she is, she isn't in a great mood today"
"Ok"
I walk up and knock on the door "what?"
"It's me Kia"

"Come in"
As I walk in she is still in her pjs and she is lay on her bed.
"What Chris?"
"Your in a delightful mood"
"I think I have every right to be pissed off don't you"
"Sorry.....I didn't mean...."
"Forget. Just go ok"
"No"
"No?"
"You heard me, no. I'm not going to let you sit here and wallow. Your mum asked me to look after you and that's what I'm doing. So get up, your going to get dressed and I have a surprise for you"
"I don't want a surprise"

"Kia! I will drag you out of that bed, I don't care if your in a cast or not"
"Fighting words Evans!"
"Don't push me Bennet"
She stares me down and I can't help but laugh "right you asked for it"
I go to grab her from the bed but she squeals "fine fine I'll get up"
"Thank you"
She struggles to move and I watch her with a smirk, knowing she needs my help.
"Problem Kia?"
She groans "I need help"
"Sorry what was that?"
"Chhhhrrrrriiiissss"
I can't help but laugh "ask nicely"

"I hate you"
"Ha no you don't"
"Fine. Please can you help me"
"Yes I can" I walk over and help her up, making sure she is steady on one leg before letting her go. She has a couple more weeks with the cast and then she might have to have another surgery. Her shoulder is mending slowly, they have taken her out of her full cast and given her something that's more liveable.
"You okay to get dressed or do you need help?"
"I might need some help"
I help Kia to get dressed and we make our way out to my house. She is so confused when we pull up and I can't help but laugh. But then she suddenly looks angry.
"Kia?"
She looks over at my door and there is Katie, standing waiting.
"Fuck!" Before I can say anything else Kia is already out of the car and limping over to her.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see Chris"
"Well I don't want to see you" I say when I finally catch up to Kia, I place my arm around her waist and pull her close.
"Well that's really sweet but we need to talk"
"About what?"
"About the fact your the reason I can't skate anymore....." Kia screams at her and I can see the shock in Katie's face.
"Yeah that's right I know, I know what you did to my skates and I have proof. Your going down Katie and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it"

"Well before I do that, you might wanna reconsider letting her do that Chris."
"Why would I?"
"Because in 7 months your life is going to change"
Kia looks confused and so do I "what?"
"I'm pregnant Chris and your the father"
