Chapter 6: Old Friend

Smokescreen POV

It's been a few days since Lus apologized to everyone. I honestly did not expect her to do that; she's actually a really nice person. She was a lot more different than before, she said "good morning" to us, she helped us with different tasks around the base; she even flirts with other members of the team a bit.

"Is this really her?" I asked Min.

She chuckled, "Yep! This is the real her, weird I know. But this shows that she fully trusts you guys now!"

"That's one way to look at it." I smiled.

Lus was talking to Arcee about some stuff. It was nice to see her smile so often now. She was honestly quite pretty when she did. Min caught me staring at Lus and tapped my shoulder.

"Whatcha looking at???" She smirked.

I jumped, "The wall- isn't the wall pretty? 😃😃😃"

"Sure~ 🙄" she rolled her eyes. I rolled my eyes in return; Lus was a friend now- I think.....

Arcee POV

Lus chuckled as I told her about my drive with Jack the other day. As I went on, she was staring off into space. I put my hands on my hips in annoyance.

"Are you even listening to me?" I snapped at her.

She jumped, "Oh! Yeah..hehe..." she giggled, "...what were you saying again?"

"As I was saying..." I started, until Lus started to zone out again. "LUS-!!!"

"AH- WHAT?!"

I put my face in my palm, "I swear to Primus- what's on your mind that's making you so distracted from me?"

She stayed silent; I then turned to see what she was looking at. Which lead me to see Smokescreen who was talking with Min. Don't tell me that she-

"Really?" I laughed, "Him out of all people???"

She exclaimed in defense, "W-what?"

"You have feelings for destiny child there?" I pointed directly at him.

Lus seemed to be caught off guard from the question, "No...." She crossed her arms on her chest. "At least....I don't think so..."

"I see." I chuckled. I knew how it felt, falling in love. "If you love him then might as well accept it."

"I'm not 100% sure yet!" She grumbled, "I mean- ever since he saved me....I couldn't get him off my mind lately."

I smiled, "I know how that feels. At least, knew."

"What do you mean?" She asked me.

I turned away. "I'd rather not talk about it right now." She nodded slowly, "We're talking about your love life, not mine."

"Oh stop it!" She giggled, I smiled back. She reminded me of me a bit when he was still with me.

Few Hours Later....

Lusteria POV

"Optimus!" Ratchet proclaimed, "We have more decepticon activity!"

I was leaning against the wall with my arms across my chest. Watching the monitor, I wonder if there were a lot of decepticons this time; I needed something to punch. I jumped as I saw someone stand next to me.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Smokescreen asked me.

I grinned, "I was too busy looking at you handsome face~" I flirted with with him, I saw a hint of blush on his cheek, seemed like I caught him off guard.

"Well you yourself are quite the beauty~" he leaned against me as his arm was over my head.

My heart skipped a beat as his face was so close to mine. I didn't expect him to flirt back; it didn't usually happen with the others, they usually just ignored me or stood there in shock. I could feel my face getting hot- frag-. Before I could say anything, he pulled back and laughed.

"HAH! You should have seen your face! You were blushing so hard!" He wiped the tears off his optics as he continued to laugh.

I grit my teeth, "I WAS NOT!" I turned away in embarrassment. He nodded but continued to chuckle.

The ground bridge led us in the middle of an area where there were canyons around us. I saw a cliff and looked over it; revealing the army of decepticons under it. We all laid low to watch them; waiting for Optimus' signal. He gave us the signal, we then transformed into our alt modes to ride down the canyon. I leaped as I transformed out of my alt mode to shoot a few vehicons with my blaster. I saw Min beating up some other vehicons; I smiled, she was strong enough to protect herself now. That was one thing I could get off my chest. But then a familiar voice rung across the battlefield.

"This staff is quite useful isn't it?"

The voice of the red, shiny sports car, that I could recognize anywhere. Knockout stood straight in satisfaction as he stood over Smokescreen who was electrified with Knockout's staff. I tried to stop him, but stopped in place as Knockout looked at me.

"Well well..." he smirked, "Hello~ old friend~"
