It was a bright early Saturday morning. Y/n had just turned 11 and was awaiting her Hogwarts letter. She looked outside for owls carrying letters, but not one was in sight.
She had heard a lot about Hogwarts from her brother, Trey Hills.

Trey was a year older than her and was a Gryffindor student. People loved him because of his charming looks and Quidditch skills.
Y/n was also hoping that she would become a Gryffindor, she was brave but she also was a very gifted girl. She also thought Ravenclaw wouldn't be a bad choice.

"Y/n! Breakfast!" her mother called to her. Y/n's mother was a very gifted witch, she and y/n's Dad had both gone to Hogwarts themself, that's also where she had learned about Hogwarts.

"Coming Mom!" Y/n yelled back.
She headed downstairs and saw the amazing breakfast her mom made. "Wow, thanks Mom!"
Y/n said. Her mom smiled and Y/n began eating. Her brother was out with his friends doing whatever it was his crazy self was doing.

She finished eating, thanked her mom again and went up to her room to finish reading the books about Hogwarts, Spells, Brooms, etc.
A few hours later and her Mom and Dad called for her to come downstairs. She closed the book she was very close to finishing.
She went downstairs and her Mom, Dad, and even her Brother were there. Only her parents were smiling though, not Trey.
"Well, y/n.. we have some very exciting news. Can you guess what it might be?" Her father said.
Y/n thought long but she couldn't guess anything. "Nope, what is it?" She said.
They gave her a strange envelope, she looked at what it said. The envelope wrote
" Mrs Y/I Hills,
The Second Bedroom Upstairs,
5, Hampstead Garden Suburb,
London,
Surrey "
Y/n  was very confused. She turned the letter over to the other side and saw the Hogwarts logo on it. She became less confused. There was a stamp also, she opened the letter and it read,
" To Mrs Y/N Hills,
The Second Bedroom Upstairs,
5, Hampstead Garden Suburb,

Surrey

"Omg! When can we go looking for this stuff Mom! I want to go tomorrow, I'm too excited for Hogwarts. It sounds brilliant. " Y/n said.
"Very soon Y/n, next week we will all go. Your brother needs new robes anyways, he grows so fast. I got him new ones for his first year and he already grew out of them, it's crazy." Her mother said.
Y/n laughed at that comment. She couldn't wait to start Hogwarts. She was thinking about it all thorough dinner, and she could hardly go to sleep because of it. She was so excited.

Y/n felt like this week took forever to come. Today was the day her, her mother, and her brother would go get her supplies for Hogwarts! (and of course Trey's new robes).
Y/n got ready and just as she finished her mother called.
"Y/n, Trey! Come on you two, we have to go!"

"Coming Mom!" Trey and Y/n called out.
They were going to buy Hogwarts equipment at some place y/n didn't know about, but she didn't care. She was going to buy everything she needed to go to the place she was most excited to go to. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Y/n's dad didn't come because of work. Her dad works in the Ministry of Magic, head of the Department of Magical Transportation.
Though, he offered to take them to the mysterious place y/n didn't know about. They all agreed and there dad drove them there.

They got dropped off at this creepy looking place. When you got closer to the sign, it read "The Leaky Cauldron". Y/n found that very strange. Whatever was this place? She questioned in her head. They all got out of the car and headed inside.

They didn't stop anywhere, she headed across the weird looking place. It seemed to be a cafe or restaurant, something like that. They came to another door and went through it. The only thing they saw were bricks. Bricks. She got even more confused and thought this was a waste of time.

Her mom got out her wand and tapped on the bricks. Y/n didn't count how many times she did that but she thought it was definitely six or more.

" Welcome Y/n to Diagon Alley! " Her brother said.
