- 𝐇𝐎𝐆𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 -

It's finally the day, the day y/n's been waiting for which seems like forever and ever.

It was around 8:30am on September 1st, a foggy and quiet morning. Many other people in the neighborhood were sleeping, but not the Hogwarts kids.

She put on some new jeans, a sweater, some converse and got everything she needed for the trip. Than, headed downstairs and quickly got some breakfast for the train. Y/n can't eat really early in the morning.

It was now 9 o'clock and her whole family were heading out the door. Her dad got the morning off to see his 2 kids go on there way to Hogwarts, especially the little one. Y/n.

It took around 45 minutes to get to Kings Cross Station, which for Y/n felt like days.

"How much longer Dad?" Y/n said, exhausted.

"We're here now Y/n, you can stop the whining." Her dad said looking at her from the mirror.

Y/n rolled her eyes and stared at the window. She looked at the funny looking building.

"Well, come on kids we don't want to be late." Her mother said.

They got there trucks and put it on a trolley. Than, they made there way to the barrier that they need to get past.

"Mother, where is it?" Y/n said looking confused as always.

"You have to walk into that barrier dear, it's not scary I promise." Her mother said.

"Alone?"

"No, I will do it with you." And she gave a soft smile.

Her brother, Trey, had went first with her Dad. Next it was Y/n and her Mothers turn.

They both held on to her trolley and ran in the barrier. When she opened her eyes, she saw a beautiful maroon & black train. It read "𝘏𝘖𝘎𝘞𝘈𝘙𝘛𝘚 𝘌𝘟𝘗𝘙𝘌𝘚𝘚 " in black writing.

It was now around 10:30am and everyone was preparing to board. Their trucks got put into the train and both of the sibling were patiently waiting until it was time to board.
10:45 and they let everyone board. More and more people were coming. Y/n didn't know what to expect. She had brought a bag with her, including, a book, a small music player, headphones, a few sweets, and her breakfast. She was so ready,

The trip would take around 1 hour and 40 minutes.

10:50 and they were just now boarding. Y/n found a compartment all by herself while Trey went with his friends. She was more relaxed than usually, which was a first.

Now 11 o'clock, everyone was boarded. The train started up and Y/n said goodbye to her parents through the window. She saw her mother tearing up already which wasn't a big shock to y/n anyways.

The Hogwarts Express began moving, y/n began reading her book about Hogwarts.

10 minutes went by and a girl had come up to her compartment.

"Hello, do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full." The girl said.

"Not at all." Y/n said giving her a soft smile.

As much as Y/n loved being alone, she felt she needed a new friend.

"My names Hermione Granger, what's yours?"

"I'm Y/N Hills."

"Oh I know your parents! Mine have ran into them a couple of times in public and they've sort of-" Hermione started but stopped shortly.

"Oh i'm sorry, I get used to talking a lot when I meet with someone." Hermione said.

"Oh don't worry about it! By all means, go on." Y/n said with a smile on her face.

Y/n and Hermione had been talking for around 20 minutes when 2 boys came up to there compartment.

"Hello, do you mind if we sit here? Our compartment isn't that great, you see." The brown haired boy with round glasses said. Y/n thought he looked familiar but she couldn't be too sure.

The ginger haired boy nodded.

"Oh of course you can! Welcome in." Y/n said

Hermione smiled softly.

"What's your names?" Hermione asked.

"I'm Harry, Harry Potter."

"Holy cricket! I thought you looked familiar," Y/n said.

"What's your name?" Y/n said talking to the ginger boy.

"Oh, i'm Ron Weasley."

"That's a brilliant name." Y/n said

"I think so too." Hermione said.

"Thank you" Ron said with a smile.

"So, what are you all most excited for at Hogwarts? Harry started off by saying.

"Oh definitely the courses, I mean there brilliant." Hermione said.

"I'm most excited for Quidditch, even though I can't play it yet." Ron said looking quite upset.

"I don't really know a lot about Hogwarts but maybe the magic?" Harry said.

"Those are interesting answers, i'm most excited for the classes too, i've always enjoyed learning." Y/n said.

"Me too! I think it's fascinating!" Hermione squealed.

They had spent a long while talking about Hogwarts, Quidditch, Magic, Spells, etc.

"I think we should change into our robes now, I expect we will be arriving soon." Hermione stated.

Harry, Ron, and Y/n all agreed.

They all changed into there fresh set of robes and kept talking until they got to Hogwarts.

They arrived at a concrete ground, all got off.

"First years, right this way!" A man said.

He was a giant, like giant. Y/n wondered who he was.

"Hi Hagrid!" Harry said with a big smile.

"Woah!" Ron said.

"Alrigh' follow me firs' years to the boats" Hagrid said.

They got on a boat, all 4 of them on the same boat. Y/n could see Hogwarts from here, it was beautiful at night fall. The lights were all gleaming, just as she had dreamed.
