I leaned on my crutch as I walked through the street of Birmingham. For a person who is able to walk without a crutch, it would take about 15 minutes to go from the Southwark ring to the orphanage where I live. But for me it takes almost 30 minutes with a crutch. It is also painfull because I put all my weight on my legs. Although I prefer to crawl everywhere because it is slightly less painfull, I do use a crutch when I am outside. Simply because I can move faster but also to view the world from a different perspective. "So you can walk" a voice said from behind me. I stopped before turning my head around towards the person had spoken out. It was Mr Shelby and he was walking towards me.

Behind him I saw his car where his brother Arthur was seated in

Behind him I saw his car where his brother Arthur was seated in. "Only with crutches, Mr Shelby" I responded not waiting for him to arrive. Once he arrived in front of me, he took a quick look over me. Curiouss to see how I stood with a crutch. I felt my anger rise in the pit of my stomach at the feeling of being disrespected by him. It felt like I was just spme coat in a window display. "Is there anything you need from me, Mr Shelby?" I questioned him, but I made it clear with my voice that I wanted to leave. "I want to ask you some questions" he responded simply. With a nod I told him he could ask me some questions. "Do you have fits?". I shook my head and responded with no emotion "no". "Asthma?". Again I shook my head. "Do you drink or smoke?". I chuckled when I realized why he was asking me these questions. But I answered his question none the less. Just to humor him. "No, I do not drink. Yes, I sometimes smoke. But it's not out of habit". He nodded impressed before pulling his coat back to pull something from his inside pocket.

"I want to give you an offer, Theo" I told him. "Theodore" He responded quickly. I looked back at him and nodded before correcting myself "Theodore". I pulled a stack of money from my pocket and held it out to him "I want you to be a fighter for the Blinders. Of course you'll get paid for every fight you will entre". The kid watched me closely but never made a move to take up my offer. But eventually told me his desicion. "I appreciate the offer, Mr Shelby. But I will politely decline" he told me, "I don't want to fight for someone that decides when I win or loose". I was suprised at his desiscion. There aren't alot of people who decline my business proposals, wether it was by fear or not. But there was something about Theodore that told me, his refusal was more out of spite. But I had no clue why. "Now if you'll excuse me. I would like to get home before dark" He informed me and turned himself around again. It took him some effort to place his crutch correctly, but he was succesfull. "Where do you need to go?" I questioned him. "Redlow Orphanage" he replied but continued to walk further. "We can give you a ride. Its on our route". Without wasting a second, he replied "I think I'll manage". "Well, if you ever change your mind. Come see us at the Garrison" I told him before turning on my heel. After giving a quick nod and a "I'll think about it", the kid then continued his way. Meanwhile, I walked back to the car. "So he declined the offer?" Arthur questioned as he watched Theodore walk further. "Not exactly" I told my brother.
