First story with my ocs! I'm feeling excited :) - Lemon <3

Annabelle's POV

I've been told that I had to assassinate the Royal Family. I have never actually killed anyone before. I know I'm supposed to be killing people but I never dare to do it. I just let them go and spread strawberry juice all over the sword. It's hard trying to impress my tribe by being the only girl. My tribe is a special kind of tribe. Only boys and men were born in this, but I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to be the only girl. They all were indeed surprised when a girl was born, but they decided that I was going to be their only hope of being their saviour.

My father, Ivana Downwater, is the leader of this place. He is the one who 'organises' everything. He's still very messy but at least he can kill. "So you understand that, Annabelle?" I snap out of my thoughts and stutter, "Uh yeah, I u-understand... What are we talking about again?" My father chuckles but the rest didn't find it funny. "If you can't seem to listen, maybe we should just get someone else to do it." Connak Herwarin says. Connak Herwarin is second in command. He is part of a group that stays behind in case something happens. But this time he will come with me and a few others to kill the family. "Don't say that Connak." He shot out. His expression was cold but when he turned to me it suddenly became warm again. He then put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a sweet smile. "We are going out tonight to the castle." He said in a soft but stern voice. "Connak, Kratos, Gandalf and I will be coming with you as a backup in case anything happens. You got that?"

"Yeah, I... I understand. The only thing I don't understand is why we have to kill the Royal Family. I mean they haven't done anything to us, have they?" I say, puzzled. Everyone then went silent. What is everyone not telling me?

"What did they do? Volodar? Eros? Someone, please tell me!"

"I think you should tell her, Ivana. She's old enough to understand."

"Understand what? Father, please tell me."

"We can talk about it when everybody's not here." And that was the end of that conversation. I just wish everyone could stop keeping secrets from me.
