Thanks to @WillGUWilliam for the idea.

Alexander was born in the developing settlement of Schrade  that the thriving city of Seldom established. Seldom's population was growing too big so their ruler, Lysander, decided to start construction of a town not very far from Seldom in conquered territory. Alexander's father, Joseph, and his soon-to-be-ex wife, Sydney moved to this establishment for a better life than in the criminal infested city of Seldom. Joseph often went out to drink at the bar they had built and come back home drunk and beat Alexander and Sydney. It got so bad that when Sydney tried to issue a divorce, he beat her to death. Alexander's life was rough, even without the abuse. The new school he went to he was failing, but Alexander would never mention it to his dad, for he feared that his dad would react, well, lets just say, badly. The rest of his 12 years before adulthood pretty much were the same, with beatings and failed classes. After Joseph died, Alexander ran for the town leader, and soon the leader of Schrade winning both polls. Alexander got right to work managing Schrade, making allies, enemies, and building production. In this time of busy work, Alexander also worked on defense, both police and military. He made new laws, used police to enforce them, and built training camps for the armed forces. Between about march 7, 1478 alternate time, to June 21 1504 alternate time, is a time period called, "The Civil Warfare Of The Fifteen Knighthoods." The fifteen knighthoods refers to 15 promotions Alexander made in his military that sparked argument throughout the city. The council believed Alexander was abusing his power to much with strict laws and tax. The promotions were the final straw. The council told Alexander to redraw some of his promotions due to being made with money, not the standard law skill requirement. It worked like this, Anybody who wanted to be part of the higher class military forces met with Alexander, gave him alot of money, and he gave them the rank, no skill required. The council thought this was a very corrupt action and told Alexander to redraw the rank. He responded by doing 14 more promotions before the council decided, 'they were splitting away from his rule' and a majority of the town came with them. The council split the military and elected a new leader. Angered by this, Alexander assassinated the councils New leader, Walter. In response, the council side declared war on Alexander's side, and thus began the 26 year civil war that tore the city apart. It was one of the worst disasters in Schrade, though it won't be the worst...
