As all the first years went into the castle, a short and weird looking witch came and said to the crowd. "Welcome, first years, to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry!!"

None of the first years was actually paying attention. Well, except for Rosie. She listened to every single word the professor said. According to her mum, the Sorting Ceremony was next on the list.

"So, my name is Professor WhiteTent,  and right now you are all going to get in the great hall to be sorted into your Houses. Please wait here SILENTLY." He emphasized the last word, though it did nothing what so ever to the murmuring crowd. He then went into what looked like the Great Hall through a pair of heavy looking doors.

"Hey! Are you a Weasley ?" Came a cold voice behind Rosie. She didn't flinch. Instead, she took a deep breath and reminded herself to stay calm. Then, she turned around.

"Yes, may I help you?" She saw a blonde boy standing there, his mouth curled into a sneer, his eyes glaring at her with disgust.

The boy didn't reply, instead, his eyes slid to the right and finally, he spoke. "And this must be Potter. Oh, how sweet. Potter and Weasley, always together. Tiny little Potter looks so scared, why? He must be so terrified. Have you even held a wand before, huh?"

Al turned around when he heard his last name being spoken and asked "Umh.. hi.. were you talking about me? or my brother?" but right when he saw the boy, he stepped forward. "Are you a Malfoy?"

"Yeah, what's up, Potter? Picking a fight with me right on the first day of school? I mean don't even think about it, you've probably never seen a wand before." Said Malfoy, not backing down even one step.

Rosie woke from her shock and stepped in between them. "Hey, Calm down you two, what's your name? and how did you know that I'm a Weasley?"

"Is it so hard? Look at that red hair, makes you look like a carrot! and my name is Scorpius Malfoy, son of Draco Malfoy." Scorpius Malfoy stated proudly, puffing up his chest in the process.

Rosie couldn't stand it anymore, what was so good about being a Malfoy? She didn't understand. So she shot back at him. "Carrot, Malfoy, has green top and a red bottom, and I, Rose Weasley has got red top and a black robe."

Scorpius looked at her with a disgusted look. "WHATEVER, but to be honest Weasley, I'm a son of PURE BLOOD witch and wizard, you? Got a mudblood mother. Right? No wonder you act so...un-wizard like."

Rosie breathed in slowly, then breathed out even slower. Her mum taught her the way to control anger long ago. "What should a wizard act like, Scorpius Malfoy? Should they act like you? Talking down people whenever they get a chance to? Nuh-uh, I don't think so. Because that would simply bring disgrace to their family."

She saw the red spread from Scorpius' nose to the tip of his ears. His mouth opened and closed but found no good argument. Rosie gave him a small smirk, so small that only he could see it.

Scorpius turned sharply and stalked off into the crowd.

Rosie breathed in again. The air of victory tasted very sweet.

Grinning widely, she pulled the still shocked Al away to join Lorc and Ly.
