"You have to back down." You told Yelena through the phone, walking back to your appointment.

"you're so funny L/n." You heard her laugh on the other side of the line, making you roll your eyes as you walked.

"At least for another day, Yelena. It would be silly to jump straight into it."

"I like your way of thinking." Silence filled the phone, neither of you talking as you walked up the steps that led to your apartment.

"I don't have another choice, I have work tomorrow so I can't be there." You explained as you fumbled for your keys, your phone trapped between your ear and shoulder.

"Work? You sad girl, I have plenty of work for you." She told you, a breath of a laugh that followed her words.

"I have no reason to harm anyone else, just wait another day, okay?"

"Fine, I'll set my timer and you will not be letting me down."

"Harm anyone else?" A voice behind you questioned which made you jump, dropping your phone to the floor when it slipped from your shoulder.

"Jesus," You breathed, glaring at the girl as you went to pick up your phone, ending the call without saying another word to the blond on the other side, "Don't do that." You opened your door and stepped inside, throwing your keys into the bowl by the door and hung up your coat. "Why are you even here?" You questioned, your tone harsh, a way you didn't mean it.

"I wanted to see you," It came out more as a question as she stood in your doorway, watching you toe off your shoes, "but what do you mean by not harming anyone else?" She invited herself in and closed the door behind her, ignoring the unused look you gave her when she did.

"It's really none of your business, Bishop." Your tone was cold as you spared no look to the girl, making your way over to the kitchen area and groaned when you heard her following you when she could have easily stayed where she was. You were still visible from there due to the kitchen having no walls separating it from the living room, so she had no reason to follow.

"Is this about Clint?" She asked and you ignored her, putting the bar of butter on the side as you grabbed the bread from the cabinets above the toaster. "Don't ignore me." You smiled to yourself, amused by her tone as you only knew her as the nervous girl who stumbled over her words.

"Don't interrogate me in my own home." You shot back, turning to her and giving her an innocent smile before turning back to what you were doing.

"You're an asshole." She scoffed, most likely folding her hands as she stared daggers at the back of your head.

"Yet you follow me around like a lost puppy." You shrugged, tossing the dirty knife into the basin so you could wash it later, "Sandwich?" You asked as you held out one half of the sandwich you had just cut up.

"Ham and cheese?" She questioned as she eyed the sandwich with narrowed eyes. You nodded your head as you took a bit of your half, your hand still held out and she took it with a small smile. "If that was about Clint-"

"Enough with the questions, kid." You huffed taking a seat on your couch before clicking on the tv, ignoring her by moving to the side when she stood in front of it, one hand on her hip as the other held the sandwich she was eating.

You groaned and stood up, going to move her out of the way, forcing her to sit and she glared at you, not amused by your actions. You ignored her when she told you it was rude and continued watching the tv. It wasn't silent, and not because of the noise from the tv but because she would just not stop talking. She was telling you about Yelena and her plans with Clint but you ignored her completely and she knew this, but she also knew you could hear her so she didn't stop.

You dusted off your hands when you finished your sandwich and turned the tv up to prove to her you weren't interested in engaging in her conversations and you heard her mumble something under her breath as she sunk into her seat with a huff, her arms crosses as her eyes were fixed on the tv with a frown of concentration. You noticed it when you glanced over at her for the last time, she didn't catch you but you smiled to yourself when she kept mumbling to herself, most likely something about how you were annoying her, or how you were an asshole like she called you over 20 minutes ago.

"Wanna play truth or dare?" She perked up, looking at you and your face stayed concentrated on the tv.

"No I do not." You told her simply, and saw how she sunk back down from your peripheral vision.

She stopped talking for another 10 very peaceful minutes but you couldn't help but notice how bored she was when she started making popping noises, staring up at the ceiling. This irritated you as she was acting like a child, one you had to babysit. "Will you stop that?" You snapped, glaring and she stopped. You looked away with a sigh and heard it once more and clenched your jaw, trying your best to ignore it until you heard her giggling. "What?"

"You're too easy to annoy," She laughed and you rolled your eyes, "Play Jenga with me?" She asked and you followed her line of sight, landing on the little amount of board games you had.

"Will you shut up if I say yes?"

"Zip my mouth shut and throw away the key." She made the action of zipping her mouth and you took that promise to say yes to her, wanting her to be quiet.
