Ashton Imagine- Carnival/Fair Date

Ashton excitedly dragged me through the fair towards the cotton candy stand. He had been planning this date since he heard about the fair coming into town and I honestly thought it was so cute how excited he got about all this. We had spent the day going on all the rides more than once minus the Ferris wheel because Ashton said he had a special plan for it but refused to tell me what it was.

I waited off to the side while Ashton went to buy the cotton candy even though I offered to. He had just ran off to the stand so he could get it before I did. Once he payed for it he walked over to me with a big smile on his face.

"I got blue because it's your favorite color." he grinned showing off his dimples. He pulled off a piece and brought it to my mouth. I let it dissolve in my mouth before eating another piece.

"Mmm wow I think I'm in love." I joked.

"Uh oh looks like I have some competition."

"Oh yeah you definitely have to work hard to beat this one." I teased.

He chuckled and wrapped his free arm around my waist pulling me closer to him. He leaned down and moved his lips against mine then bit my bottom lip lightly before pulling away and resting his forehead against mine.

"How bout now?" he smiled biting his lip.

"You're getting there." I breathed while he just shook his head and continued to smile.

We finished off the cotton candy and threw away all of our trash. Ashton then lead me over to one of the games that gave away huge bears as a prize and insisted on playing.

"Cmon y/n! I can do it! Then I'll be like one of those cute boyfriends who wins their girlfriend a prize at a carnival and it'll be adorable."

"You're already a cute boyfriend Ash. But I mean if you insist!" I laughed making him cheer excitedly. He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and walked over to the person running the game and handed him a 5.

The game Ashton had chosen was the one where you had to knock down the milk jugs by throwing a ball at it. On his first few tries he would knock down one or two but couldn't get the third one to fall. I could tell he was getting frustrated but he still had that look of determination on his face.

"Seriously Ash, you don't have to win me a prize." I tried reassuring him.

"No, no I got it! I have a good feeling about this one." he smiled at me. He took is time and threw the ball straight into the middle of the 3 jugs and knocked them all over. "Told you!" he said smugly.

I just rolled my eyes and laughed at him. The guy running the game handed Ashton a huge teddy bear which he then handed to me with a proud smile on his face. I took it in my arms and awkwardly hugged Ashton with my free arm.

"This is so cute thank you!" I said looking up and him.

"Anything for you babe." he replied placing a kiss on my forehead. "Oh hey, the sun is going to set soon how about we finish the night by finally going on the Ferris wheel."

"Perfect." I smiled at him.

He grabbed my hand as we walked towards the Ferris wheel and waited in line to load into a cart. When it was finally our turn to get onto the ride Ashton stepped in first and I followed behind. I sat beside him and placed the stuffed bear on the bench across from us. Ashton placed an arm around my shoulder and left a lingering kiss on my temple as the wheel began to turn again. Our second time around we stopped at the very top just as the sun was setting.
